You are truly an idiot if you believe this. Take a poll for Vikings fans only and see the results. It would be overwhelming against bringing Favre into Minnesota.

It's real easy to say it when there is 0 chance of it happening.

So yes I stick by what I said. You Viking fans are idiots if you would rather have T Jackson over Favre. I guess you want your team to continue their run of championship futility.

Sorry...but Vikings fans are the dumbest in sports.

They have a fake team...that plays in a fake plastic stadium...with fake, latte drinking fans.

Oh...and did I mention they have a sperm on their helmets? So I guess that makes them gay too.

I'm a huge vikings fan. Always have been. I'd love to see Farve in a purple jersey. I honestly hate Jackson. :ohno:

Citing an NFL executive with "close ties to clubs in the NFC North," the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that the Packers called the Vikings about Brett Favre on Friday to let them know Favre is available in a trade.

You knew this wasn't the end. The Journal-Sentinel believes Favre's arrival at camp is the first step towards a trade. "They’ve kind of said through one of their guys that if Favre did report they would potentially trade him within the division," the unnamed executive says. Talks between the Vikings and Packers aren't substantive yet, however, and the executive doesn't think Minnesota would give up more than a fourth- or fifth-round pick. Still, reports like this aren't going away until Favre is in another uniform. Aug. 4 - 12:16 am et

There is one overriding factor that pertains to this whold story...over and over.

We just don't know who to believe. There have been more false reports and false sources than any story since Nigerian yellowcake.

It's a huge clusterfuck.

I have been a Vikings fan for 20+ years and believe me I would rather not have Favre come into the Vikings camp with all his 3 ring circus media and distract from what this team has going for them this year or any other year. I have obviously never been a fan of his anyways.. Ever heard of a bitter rivalry?

Just read Mr Mj's comments and you'll see the rivalry between these teams.

True Vikings fans don't want Favre in their camp. And Packers fans can't even begin to tell me that it wouldn't make them cringe of the sight of Favre in purple.

I am no fan of T. Jackson either but this year if he can learn to manage the game and not make stupid mistakes the Vikings will be just fine.

Hell 9-7 will win the division and that will still be 3 games ahead of the shit dwelling Packers this year.

Yes, been a Packer fan for 20+ years as well. So I know all about the rivalry. Nothing would sicken me more than the sight of Favre in purple.

I didn't really like John Randle or Cris Carter back in the day. But if they somehow had found their way into green and gold back then, do you think I would really care? Hell no, I'd be happy because my team would be better.

BTW, LOL if you think the Pack is going 6-10 this year. Not a chance. They'll make it 5 straight against the Vikes on 9/8 even if Bart Starr comes out of retirement.

Cris Carter or John Randle weren't really the heart and soul of the Vikings for 16 years now either.

MJ to the Lakers? Magic to the Celtics? I don't know but this day and age there is just no team loyalty anymore. We love to hate people and that makes things fun in sports.

6-10 was a stab at Mr Mj to get a rise out of him. This will be one of the more competitive years in the Black and Blue division.

A real Vikings fan wouldn't want Favre on their team, no matter what Packers fans think. I know many Packers fans that don't even want him on Green Bay this year, and some of them are even hoping he gets traded to Minnesota. Obviously everyone has a different opinion on how Favre will do this year, and I'm someone that thinks he's overrated at this point in his career. But when talking about Favre and the Vikings you have to understand that most true fans don't want their bitter rival playing on their team, even if some think it will win them a Super Bowl.

Also people need to realize Favre is an absolutely terrible fit for Minnesota. With the team they have they need a QB that will manage the game, not make mistakes, and just make a play every now and then to keep the defense honest. They don't need some rival legend trying to prove he still has game while trying to be the hero. Minnesota has arguably the best defense and the best OL, and a top 5 RB. They can win the Super Bowl with a QB that won't lose them the game. Favre is a QB that could lose you the game. He plays a risky style of game which has led him to a lot of game winning TD's and a lot of game costing INT's. He doesn't fit into Minnesota and people need to realize that.
