Gosh why does fantasy feel awkward this year?

I like a lot of players to have bounce back years. Jacobs for Oakland could have a better year than Cook.

Meh, I hate to just shit on every 2nd tier RB but he doesn’t catch passes and I don’t see LV being very good. OL is legit but stil think O is pretty handcuffed

If you get Adams/Thomas rd 1 just seems like your RBs will be terrible, really not crazy about anyone after Dalvkn/CEH at their ADP.

Id have to read up on it more but I like Gurley out of the 15-25 range and name guys, he should be solid and easy to handcuff but those RBs are tough to gauge
i

Just drafted for a guy today picked 6th and got Michael thomas. Starting rbs are fournette and Chris carson i wouldn't consider them terrible at all

Ive done TONS of mocks picking 7th and with third round reversal these are rbs im ending up with if i start with thomas or adams

Fournette
Carson
Miles sanders
James conner
Montgomery pre injury
Joe mixon on occasion

Conner and carson most consistently. I get what you're saying about the top tier or rbs. But the third round reversal decimated the value of those top picks. When i mock a top two pick with 3rr i end up with garbage wrs. And my league starts three wr. Zeke is ok but still feel the 3rr too much at third pick. Kamara i dont like enough to take at 4

Sometimes at 7 i end up with clyde edwards-helaire in round 1 which is good

Also have to look at bust potential. Michael thomas and devamte adams are not busting outside of injury. Rbs in round 1 have a way higher bust percentage

Last two years i have finished second in my nffc leagues with the strategy of not winning the league in round 1 but not losing it also. In 2018 i took AB at 7. Last year took adams at 8.

I try to choose the draft spot that guarentees me a player from my tier 2 options by getting the best value by picking last in that tier. This year for me tier 2 consists of zeke, kamara, clyde edwards-helaire, thomas, and adams

Carson seems decent if you can handcuff him but didn't he leave training camp for death in his family twice and he's coming off injury.

Fournette I just wouldn't draft. He's terrible and on a terrible team, can't imagine he gets closer to the workload he did last year. Doesn't seem easy to cuff either.

Usually the one good thing about preseason is it does bring some clarity on the roles of RB's (which is the most role dependent position by far) but with that clarity not really coming this year, I just feel like a lot of these guys are stay aways. Feels like by week 2 we're gonna find out some of them are severely devalued.

So in your mind its a top 4 (5 if you believe in kc rookie)pick or bust this year?

Have you done 3RR? If it wasn't for 3rr i would say top 2 picks this year are far and away the best

I really didn't even wanna do season long this year because it seems like it may be a shitshow

Black kid gets shot, games cancelled. Rona breakout on team, games cancelled. Trump wins again, games cancelled (this is probably a reach but who knows)....Not trying to get political but obviously a lotttttt going on right now and this season is unlike any other.

My main league, I'd lose my spot if I didn't do it so just going to do it and hope it isn't too bad.

This league is just basic snake with the derby style thing. I could probably propose 3RR but don't really want to, yeah it is more fair but I'd rather see if I can bink a top 4 pick and have that nice edge. I thought 0RB had merit last few years but the RBs are just way too good now. I think you wanna get 1 of the top 1's and then punt the 2nd 1 with like a Kareem Hunt type later on who will get you pts but then can also be something more if it goes right.

CEH, not really sure. Obviously on paper he makes a ton of sense, picking like 7th and deciding between him and MT seems difficult though. Or even him and Adams. Doesn't seem like you can cuff CEH either, it'll just be a platoon.

WR seems stacked this year though......I like a lot of the young guys like AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, Will Fuller (not too young but emerging role andI think he's worth the injury risk), Gallup, ......I like Cooper and Thielen a lot outside of the top 10.

Problem with WR is once you get past Nuk at like 5 or so...6-15ish seems pretty damn similar, both the Buccs guys seem overvalued to me, Golloday, A Rob, Juju (he's not even at a discount really for the year he had last year)

Don't really love Julio either, he's 31, had injuries...Obviously he's a legend but some guys you just rather other people get, like Ridley in the WR15-20 range a lot actually.

I don't mind Kelce/Kittle in mid rd 2......Kelce durability is great and Kittle has a vintage Gronk yr in him once TDs start breaking his way a little better.

I like Evan Engram like 5-6 rounds later though, he's always hurt but if he dies TE is pretty deep this year where you can get someone like Hockenson/Jared Cook/Herndon to atleast be decent. Engram healthy should probably be in Ertz/Andrews tier.

Cook was a monster with Brees 2nd half last year. Just don't draft OJ Howard in the 5th rd like I did last year.

Cook was a key waiver wire add for me last year. Played him in flex the last month

Yeah, Cook saved my ass. I had Howard first 8 weeks last year and he scored 40 pts out of tight end in those weeks (started a few other stiffs in that time too)

I got Allen Robinson 6th rd last year and it was my best pick but top 10 with that QB situation? That feels kinda rich.

KC rookie meaning CEH? I don't watch much college so I have to research him more, I mean he seems good to go but I don't think I'd take him over Cook/Kamara (I'd pretty down on the VIkings as well, think tehy have 6-10 equity but he does fit Kubiak offense perfectly and he can be cuffed......I like Kamara though, high ankle sprain is behind him, don't see a reason not to)

Drake? Feels like 3 weeks into the season Edmonds is getting half the work. I've said for years in these threads I hate falling victim to the "Guy crushed last 7 weeks of the previous year and now is a top 2 rd pick", sometimes those guys work out but their bust rates are pretty high.

Miles Sanders? I like him the most of this lot probably, good team/good OL/not much comp for work but he's already got a soft tissue injury? ehh

Henry? I mean his performance last year was totally unsustainable unless he is just the GOAT now and he doesn't catch passes. Would you want him as the centerpiece of your team?

Jacobs? We covered him already.

Mixon? I mean it is this dudes 4th year and he hasn't lit up fantasy yet. Can't say I'm dying to take him either.

I know this seems overly critical but that is kinda what my process is sometimes. Try to find things wrong w/ guys rather than right.

So yeah, I think you wanna hope to take care of Rb1 in rd 1 then stack team at WR/TE after that and then comeback w/ a punt option at RB2 and hope over the course of the season it turns into something better.

A lot of those guys mentioned is why picks 10-12 is the worst this year even with 3rr

Ekeler round 8 in both leagues last year. Saved my rbs. Need to find this years mid round rb stud. It may rnd up being one of the handcuffs like mattison, murray, pollard

What worries about the rookie is no preseason and even McCaffrey started slow the first half of his first year

Yeah, diving into rankings so much seems tough to decipher. Kinda makes it fun in a sense, I bet a lot of people will be winging research on draft day.

Taylor on the Colts around RB17, he has to deal with Mack/Hines. Seems rich valuation but I don't really know.

Zach Moss getting rave reviews at Bills camp, maybe he's just the #1 and Singletary is change of pace guy.

Mostert isn't a fun pick but I do think he's best RB on the team and that's a sick running game obviously. He seems a little low.

DeAndre Swift? One thing about the Lions that is funny is they have a new hyped FF RB every other year seems like. Kerryon, Best, LeShoure, Joique Bell, Abdullah. It never ends.

This may be Brady Bias but Ronald Jones RB33? Seems low, he'll atleast be given the chance to be the man.

Too many mouths to feed in NYG for me to spend a round 5 pick on Engram

What about the kc rookie

Reading very good things....he's picking up offense quick....he's the guy there!!! He's not getting overvalued he's going to thrive in that offense! Andy Reid pretty much hand picked this kid just like he did with Mahomes. I would take him #3 RB behind Zeke and Mccaffery....YES before Kamara and Barkley! He's going to get the work load there's nobody there to take it from him. Thank me later

Reading Singletary been having fumble issues in camp....

You think Shady McCoy has anything left in the tank? I really like Ronald Jones, but McCoy there makes me a little nervous
