There are not many countries out here that others likes but you definitely don't want to be on a list that others hate..........
It seems to me the two biggest wars in the last century were WWI and WWII and it also seems to me that Canada was fighting well before anybody (Other than those brave Americans that fought in Canadian units) from the US was involved in either war. So let's not go crazy questioning the bravery of Canada and it's citizenry! And if ignorance is bliss, you must be ecstatic Kodiak7!Kodiak7 said:Russian, Germany whatever you pc idiots wish.. Without us Canada is nothing end of story. Canadians should stand up and pay tribute to the stars and strips not talk and or yell... Now we have some San Jose fans boo in response to the rudness of these Canadians and what happens?? a PC firestorm... lmao... There is only on country on flag that deserves are respect PERIOD!
Kodiak7 said:The boo's are in response to Canadians jeering and yelling throughout the National Anthem in Edmonton and else where.. Fvck the Cannucks Yell your ass off during OLD CANADA.. Assholes would all be speaking Russian if it was for the Stars and Strips!!
:nohead:
You're correct Kodiak, I should not have singled out the good US people. I should have said without George Bush and his warmongering, deceitful ways, (including the people who support him), there'd be no need for Canada to have such a defense. Excuse my error, please!Kodiak7 said:^ bullshit.. What a stupid ass comment....
I can see your points but having traveled to many places I think that when you have freedom I think that, like having healthy kids and family, the national anthem gives you an opportunity to reflect and be thankful for said freedom. That being said, nobody has a right to jeer or boo another nation's national anthem!Poker King Jim said:I have never understood the whole national anthem before sporting events. What in the world does a hockey game have to do with nationalism? And don't feed me the whole "you should be thankful to live in a country that has sport and that's why" as I can point to hundreds of countries that have sport. Sport has been around longer than government. Why do humans feel the need to be part of a group and be proud to have been born on one piece of land over another? Countries are nothing more than sets of laws. You can have culture, traditions, etc without countries.
