Congratulations, Willie99!

You have finally proved that the Politics, Finance, and World Events Board at therxforum is populated almost entirely by people sharing the same delusions. I will alert the Royal Society so that you can get due consideration for The Copley Medal.

I'm sorry the truth hurts you so bad. Maybe Obama will come up with a program, part of the the stimulus bill no less, to help you cope.

Good luck with that.

I got where I am because I worked my ass off. Worked full-time
during the 10 years I went to college.

6 years to get two under-graduate degrees, and 4 more years to
get a graduate degree, going to school part-time.

Got my SS card at 16 and have worked ever since. Also worked while going to college.

Have been up and have been broke (twice) learned more by going bust than by being up.

Plan to get my share of the giant ponzi scheme soon, waiting til I'M 68 to 70. Hope you guys keep working and paying that FICA tax.

For me it's easy. My father was a high school drop-out that joined the Navy at age 17 during WWII and remained there for 21 years. My mom grew up in war torn Italy, where finishing her education was not an option.

They settled in CT in 1963, always worked and always saved. Bought a house, took care of it and improved it's value. Today my mom is a condo lord (and drags me to all the fucking meetings).

They insisted that I go to college, which I did kicking and screaming at times. They enabled me to take it to the next level. My kids are poised to do better yet, and I taught them to expect nothing less and work for it all.

I'm sorry, but I can't comprehend the victim hood and government assistance is needed mentality. Of course, my parents, who had as many obstacles to overcome as anybody, showed me the way.

Thank you :toast:

I'll tell you how it happens.....you have no parents or shitty parents....I would see people all the time where I grew up and you knew who might end up in jail....and many off them did I am sure.....I am like you and have two great supportive hard working parents and I have thrown caution to the wind and have taken many risks.....some worked out and some didn't but my parents have always been possitive and supportive.....I am very lucky and work seven days a week to try to keep that luck on a roll...since moving to CR I have definitely given my kids a better chance at achieving the American Dream....
