God forbid if somebody you cared for got knifed down in the street, I would hope you would also defend anyone that tried to cover up for the attacker(s). It would be hypocritical of you not to, or do you only defend athletes on your favorite teams?
I would never defend anyone involved with hurting another person or animal. Vick should be punished but I think it went way over the top - 6 months time, probation, large fine, and community service would have been better IMO.
I did not condone what Lewis did, but covering up for friends and actually committing a murder are completely different. He has attempted to apologize numerous times to the families, and ended up testifying against his friends. So in the end he did the right thing. Again I am not condoning but the two that died that night were the scum of the earth. They werent two average joes walking down the street. They were hoodlums looking to start something with a famous athlete.
I play plenty of bj and poker but VP gets me the comps and I love playing the bartops when games are on. I could run circles around any stupid, fake thug, blue-collar Raiders fan on the tables. Keep paying for your rooms/meals like a sucker.
