Pirates: The recently acquired right-hander is making his 2009 Major League debut after going 7-2 with a 2.26 ERA (18 earned runs in 71 2/3 innings) in 11 starts for the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves. Morton was 4-8 with a 6.15 ERA in 16 appearances, 15 starts for Atlanta in 2008.
