It looks like Memphis -6 was a push, so 3-7 on the day, 35-40 -9.0 units on the year.

Hey wisco (since u seem to post here more than anyone else) or anyone here, how much money would have won if you were fading and betting $5 a game? This whole unit thing is confusing for me

Sure thing. So the important thing to remember is that losses = juice.

So if Fade is hitting 40% after 200 plays, Fade's record would be (80*1.0) - (120*1.1) -52 units
Note: 80/200 = 0.4, thus 40%

And the fader's record would be
(120*1) - (80*1.1) +32 units

So if you were playing $5 a game under the above scenario, you would be up 32*5 = 160. Again, that is if Fade hits a 40% clip. I think this example also shows how much the books benefit over the long run with 10% juice on each game.... e.g., when Fade posts a record of -10 units, the fader will not be at +10 units, unless they bought down every play to +100 juice.

So at the current record of 40-43...would a fader not even be profiting?

The fader would be at 43-40 (52%) and at -110 juice on all plays, the calculation is 43-(40*1.1) = -1.0 units. Fade is batting at a 48% clip right now, so the only person winning right now is the book on juice. Anything within a few percentage points of 50% is likely going to be a net loss for the gambler, unless you are varying your units and hitting large plays and lose small.

The fader can win fading someone, they can also lose. If Fade goes anything better than 45-47% on the year, the fader will likely lose.
