I was just trying to find out why he used Minnesota's avg and ignored Tampa's avg for points scored in his pick. It seems kinda fishy to use the avg. points scored for Minny as areason for the play and ignore Tampa's.

He didn't. Did you follow the link in my post?

I will answer the questions since I made the sheets.

1) Everything updates automatically based on the plays that are offered at the time. Absolutely no need to cut and paste from anywhere. Everything is automatically updated from the web each time you open the spreadsheet. COULD NOT be any simpler. :toast: If you want to be extra sure that you do not screw anything up, please DO NOT save when you close the spreadsheet. Since it automatically updates data everytime you open the sheet, it will always ask you if you want to save when you close it. Please just say NO when you close it. Next time you open it, it will update with the most recent data.

2) No, I will not add defensive yards to the sheet. If you want to do so, please feel free to add it yourself. d1g1t (see rant in #3)

3) I'm glad people are starting to use and find value in the sheets :103631605 however I can not and will not turn into tech support for the forum. :nono5: If you want to talk about how a particular trend or stat can add value then please discuss. But I will not respond to posts regarding "this error" or "that tweak" or "can you add this" or "my spreadsheet didn't update" or "I lost today because of your spreadsheet" or etc, etc.

Any other questions? Honestly, noone else should have these sheets at this point. They are still very new. There are many changes that still need to be made to account for things like playoffs, next year, etc. Thery are not bulletproof. They are not protected in any way and will break for the spreadsheet challenged if you mess around with them.

Can you send me one of your spreadsheets please

I WILL SAY THIS ONE MORE TIME...

BEEN GETTING 10 E-MAIL A DAY WANTING A SHEET
1ST OFF WE WILL POSTED IT WHEN THE NUMBERS POP UP!
THE SHEET STAY IS BEING WORK ON...THAT WOULD MEAN THAT IF YOU GET A EARLY COPY...WE WOULD HAVE TO SEND YOU ONE EACH TIME ITS UPDATED!

THE LAST TWO SHEET I SEND OUT 2-3 YEARS AGO...I BURN UP THE GUYS THAT MADE THEM!

ONE WILL NOT RETURN MY E-MAILS TO THIS DATE!

SO

THIS YEAR WE WILL NOT SEND OUT A SHEET.....WHEN THE TIME COMES THAT IT WORKS BY ITSELF....NO MORE UPDATE....i WILL GIVE YOU A LINK TO GET ONE

SO

DONT E-MAIL ME TO GET ONE ...YOU WILL HAVE TO SEE IT HERE AS EVERYONE ELSE WILL...

SO I HOPE THIS WILL CLEAR IT UP AGAIN

I have to be a against you tonight. I love Dallas tonight and am looking at a 14 point win for Dallas. I am taking them on the alternative line as well.

I do like St Louis under though a bit

TB 19-13 over Minnesota. Too many FG's and not enough TD's. Gus Fa-got "totally" never could get much going.

This is from Sammy Farha's work...

From two weeks ago take a look at Iowa v Penn State.

First you need to find the total avg yds for all of the teams. That week it was 44,742 and divide by 120 (teams) = 372.9 yds In Aces formula this number is always constant at 325 yds but for college changes each week (it will usually be between 370-375). Now we want to get total yds for each team.

Penn St. = 459.8
Iowa = 379.6

1) 459.8 + 379.6 = 839.4 now we subtract the avg for all teams 372.9

2) 839.4 - 372.9 = 466.5 now divide this by 7.5

3) 466.5 / 7.5 = 62.2 predicted score

Hope this helps... this is the basic formula.

Hi Ace and Jackal,

not sure if this has been asked. but do you guys think it a good idea to have a separate thread for these plays? including the tracking?

would be nice.

thanks for the work you guys do.

I will post these plays on Thursday evenings in ACE's thread since in part this system was made from his NFL formula...I'm not sure we need a separate thread for these I'll just mention the ytd record of the plays when I post them.
