The advantage of thinking ahead..I don't always do that...fortunately for me I did when I was standing in line to bet NE-3 over Pitt for the AFC title game. I happen to look up and saw they had SB lines up and had NE at 7-5 to win SB. The thought ocurred to me if I like NE to beat Pitt why not bet them now to win SB...so I jumped on it visualizing 2 events happening 2 weeks apart. NE to beat Pitt and NE to win SB. Well NE handled the rookie Pitt QB as I expected and now I have a ticket on them to win SB...no points and at 7-5.
Well I wait 2 weeks for the 2nd event and see NE is favored by 7/7-...I figure lay back with Philly for half my original bet as I do not see a blowout here. So I wait to an hour before game and both of my phone accounts have Philly +7. All week I never saw a 7- in Vegas. So I go ahead and make my edge off and hope to get lucky and win both bets.
Well I got lucky...NE looses another guy in the patched up secondary and McNabb throws a perfect strike to a wide open Mitchell I believe...I was so exicited I didn't notice as I thought no way Philly scores a TD that late in the game..probably hurt quite a few NE betters...very lucky for me. So many games were decided this year vs the spread in the last few minutes/seconds of the game.
I am relatively new to this site and I get in the NFL Hilton Super Contest in town every year and hopefully we can help each other in the next NFL go around..have seen many good cappers on this site with well thought out points concerning NFL games..maybe I will look at Arena but it looks haphazard to me ....just like baskets.
