Marlins Braves Game 2:Both teams continue to struggle with run production as evident by yesterdays 1-0 Atlanta win. Today Derek Lowe for Atlanta 3-4 4.06 ERA duels with Florida's Rick Nolasco 4-1 3.98 ERA. Lowe has not won in his past five outings while Nolasco has given up 22 hits with 12 runs in his last two outings. This situation makes a prime opportunity for one of the starters if not both pitchers to get back ontrack tonight with neither team scoring on a rapid pace. Florida has only scored 4 runs in 3 games and not scored in 13 innings. Atlanta's Dan Uggla is still in the midst of a serious slump and may not fair any better tonight if Nolasco can get back on track in his home stadium. Florida now has a 6 game losing streak on it's hands but the Braves with cold bats can't provide enough support to warrant a side play today as they have historically been plagued by Florida. We now look to see a low scoring game if our starters can get out of the gate good and the hitting woes for both clubs continue. Sacrificing a little juice, buying 1 run to under 8 1/2 is quite possibly the play. We might also be looking a 0-0 1-1 type of game after 5 if our pitchers righting the ship both teams cold hitting theory pans out. Since Florida has no scored in 13 innings, we now look to Atlanta + 1/2 -130 5 Innings taking a stab this trend continues tonight for at least 5 innings. The side is just to tricky to pin down so it is the under 8 1/2 and Atlanta +1/2 5 Innings hoping a change of pace does indeed pin down a winner.

BLUE JAYS/KC
Duffy v Villanueva.....Living in Toronto and following the Jays closely forever this is a caution to those leaning Jays. They look like a play tonight but be careful. They always have problems against guys like Duffy. Duffy is a strong pitcher who left the team in '10 spring training for personal reasons and returned in June in dominant fashion. He possesses considerable upside due to impeccable command and control and high strikeout potential. He's able to hold his above average velocity (90-97 mph) deep into games and his deceptive delivery and arm slot keep hitters off-guard. He has nifty efficiency and can induce weak contact early in the count or garner the strikeout - particularly with his curveball. Villanueva is showing signs that a rough outing is forthcoming soon. He's 3-0 with an ERA of 2.72 but don't buy into it. A regression is coming. Personally, I'm not playing the Royals because they're favored but the Jays and specifically Villanueva could be in for a rough night.

Toronto is my only lean on what I believe is a shitty card.
