On the other site we revealed a little more about ourselves, our wagering background, how we got into this, etc. Think I'll start off with mine and see if others will follow suit. Age and hometown are nice, but a few other tidbits would be great.
I am 57, will turn 58 on July 4. I grew up in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and played college basketball on scholarship for a small college named Millsaps in Jackson. Couldn't run or jump but I had a heckava outside shot. (I am 6'4", bTW) I moved to NYC at 22, eight years later moved to Sarasota, FL, for four years, then to upstate New York for 25 years. Therefore the name NY Reb. Right now I reside in a small town in NE PA, but I keep the name that most have come to know (and love
Started handicapping games and betting about 20 years ago. Discovered I had a knack for it, and have learned something new every season of every year. I know the SEC best, but also am very familiar with ACC, Big East, and C-USA. I know Florida and Mississippi teams about as well as anyone. I usually do best in college baskets, but have been successful in college football, NFL, and NBA as well. Almost always enjoy winning seasons in all sports, and have never had a losing season in college baskets. I have won a lot and I have also lost a lot. I have become very wise in this field, my main weakness being playing too many games because I do love the action.
This might sound strange to many, but I wrote a correspondence course in meditation and yogic psychology and philosophy for 25 years. I traveled around the world leading weekend workshops, and was considered one of the best at what I did. I am now working on a book.
Now you know quite a bit more about me, and I hope to learn a bit more about all of you. I hope we all make lots of money helping out each other on this site.
Take care, guys.
NY Reb
