For the record men, I placed my largest college hoops bet on this game. I'm not backing off of it, we all know you can lay off any bet. But I'm sticking with it. Tulsa has a good team, lots of starters back from last year. But when Manning left for Wake, I think that put a serious hole in their sails. McDermott is the real deal as coach, I think the better coached team gets the win here. GLTA

Good luck to all of you. Big game as both teams used to battle it out in the MVC.

Those were some days. I was a member at Tulsa CC and TU gives all their coaches memberships there. I know Tubby, Self, hell, even know Nolan. Mo Valley has been hell for other teams. What was it, five years or so ago, they put four teams in the dance, N. Iowa, Witchy State, Saloukis, and I think SW Mizzou State whose called by something different now. I used to go to all those games.

tmader....good conscience about other peoples money, I respect that. But we are all big boys, I followed you with the same thoughts and I have to admit the line is moving a little odd, but nothing outrageous at this point. Lots of public money on Creighton, and the public isn't ALWAYS wrong (just statistically a disadvantage over the long haul ;) ). Creighton is definitely a public "favourite" and the books know it.

Everything I have seen (opinion/data) doesn't scream a huge homecourt advantage and I don't see any real pride/revenge factors here.

I still like Crieighton in this matchup. They live and die by the three with almost half their FGA coming from beyond the arc. If Creighton slows the pace down, Tulsa is not shooting particularly well and I believe it will keep the game very close. The ultimate decider here will likely be whether Creighton can get hot from beyond the arc and build a big lead or, more likely, whether Tulsa can get do better from the free throw line - they are definitely outclassed by Creighton.

I still like Creighton with points, the more the better (duh). If Creighton is up at the half I would back them to win the game too, worth looking at the 2H for a potential follow-up.

Just my thoughts and I have proven myself to be completely wrong many times. ;)

Well, line didn't budge at BOL, and I'm seeing a point and a half in a lot of places, down from 2, so getting that warm fuzzy feeling the first tumbler of good Scotch gives ya, lol. I think we'll be fine. Appreciate the post Oz, that one from the wee hours last night was some funny shit, I was lookin for Aloha, he's down this week. GLTA

Manning has looked like a dear in the headlights at Wake ... not quite sure how good he is as a head coach just yet.

Only game I saw that's been a disaster was the Hawgs game, yeah, they looked like middle schoolers out there. But I can vouch for the angst, grief, pick a bad emotion, that was felt on 11th Street when he jumped ship. Ya gotta remember, only a 3+ hour drive to Lawrence from Tulsa, so lot of disappointed folks at TU.
