it's absolutely wild to see how quickly Newsom is walking back all of his policies and pivoting a full 180 degrees in the other direction.
> He just blasted Dem-appointed judges for blocking legislation that would allow cities to sweep out homeless encampments which he essentially built and has provisioned BILLIONS of dollars to create and sustain. He even threated to release their private info (addresses and phone numbers) which I assume is highly illegal
> After shutting down gas storage facilities, nuclear power plants, and promising a 100% "clean" power grid this year he has extended the life of remaining storage facilities, nuclear plants, AND natural gas plants as blackouts were threatening to blow apart the state's failing power grid.
> His high-speed rail, the largest infrastructure catastrophe in American history, has ballooned from a $33B to project to currently $128B spent without a single foot of rail being built. Instead of taking any responsibility he's singling out construction contract bureaucracy as the only barrier to this glorious project from being completed.
> And when asked how he feels about the exodus of CA residents he comically replied that MS and WV have also lost residents thus comparing California to two of the current, and historically, poorest and least educated states in the country
this is all to create a talking point that he was not responsible, in any way, to the massive failings, drug culture, population exodus, budget deficits, crime, and poverty of his shithole by the Pacific Ocean
