In LARGE part these people are starving because of Saddam's inhumaneness. Also, in LARGE part these people are starving because of UN (US led) sactions against Iraq - our inhumaneness. And in a 3rd LARGE part they are starving because of the damn war - "W"'s thirst for blood.

I'm sure there exist MANY, MANY great organizations. I know of CARE (BlueGrass made a very wonderful & generous donation to them) http://care.ca/actn/iraq/iraq_e.shtm - They are worldwide, this happens to be info from their Canadian branch helping Iraq.

Let me get this straight Iraqi children are starving and all the Bubba's are having to shell out $1.80 per gallon to keep the pick-up motoring. Thats a fair trade off, if you use terms like rag head or goat herder. America land of the brave. Sure thing.

Well Lander, you still haven't posted your evidence I was asking for in the other thread so you seem to not have much ground to stand on when talking about citing evidence to back up your claims.

So what should we have done in place of sanctions? I'll agree they didn't work but do you have any other suggestions? Appease him I guess. His people were starving BEFORE the sanctions. Every penny that flowed into the countrty went into building up his military machine and power base. Nothing would have changed expect maybe a few hundred thousand dead in Tel Aviv.

I have no problem with questioning the government. In my home country, I was very politicaly active in protest of my government's refusal to admit the full extent of what happened in Manchuria, Korea, and most other parts of Asia in WWII.

I'm not a blind follower but there's another side to that coin. That would be those who are blind questioners and that's what bothers me.

So seeing troops & fellow US citizens die makes it all worthwhile because kids who mostly hate the US are being fed?

These are separate topics - to show why, one could ask how the Hollywood elite can live in mansions and in the lap of luxury while so many of our own are going hungry everyday - they are not connected. The only reason we're there now, feeding these people, is because of war, a war started and thought by a lot of people to involve our national security.

By the way, exactly how many of our own are going hungry every day, when there exists so many government and church programs to provide aid? How many are actually on the brink of starvation? How many are victims of a brutal dictatorship in which fear and torture as well as starvation are the central means of political control?

The majority of my posts include references, about 10% of yours do. We realize that you are greatly concerned with hearing yourself give your own opinion, but most of us prefer facts & source.

Ask a specific question, and you will get a specific answer. What evidence are you looking for? Of course, I will assume that this process will open up MANY questions requiring evidence on both sides - be prepared to answer a few of my own questions

Answer the question as to why some feel war is justified just because people who mostly hate our country are being fed.

When it is all said & done ask the family members who lost loved ones how they would feel knowing one of their own died in a war that is being waged for more reasons then this administration cares to admit. Some of you will believe any of the BS coming out of their mouth. I bet those families will feel great to lose a loved one & why, oh because atleast alot of people in Iraq who mostly hate the US were fed.

Why don't you backup your bullshit reason as to why war is justified?

Open your eyes, it is a known fact that over the years there have been cuts to different programs or the # of people in need outweighing the support that can be provided at the time.

Why should we spend so much money to help people who the majority of them hate us while our own country has its own issues to worry about?

That is an amazing thing. You can put sanctions on a country, forcing its poor population into near starvation. Then you bring them a little food and take pictures of their smiling faces. Does that make you a great person though ?
