Unfortunately this is probably the tip of the iceberg. New industries in their infancy have tons of stumbling blocks, controversy, kinks to work out, etc

With the spotlight shining brightly on DFS now, I could see more controversies becoming a problem but hopefully people will be a little more levelheaded about it.

Oh wait, nobody is levelheaded anymore about anything. Nevermind.

If they didn't do it, this will all blow over, with a few new rules. If some proof comes down it will get very ugly.

If who didn't do what? Ethan?

It can't be proven he did or didn't do anything. Either way, the sites will move to the no employee policy and then things will probably calm for a bit.

Like I said, can reignite very, very easily though. You have the script issue and a few others that could rear their ugly heads. Microscope on the industry now.

Riddle me this. In some media/social circles, this Fantasy scandal is bigger than any banking/stock/mortgage scandal.

Some people are more concerned with their $10 Fantasy line-up, instead of their $400k retirement account. Hmmmm.

Think I'm going to look into starting a fantasy proxy service so these guys can still cheat and win millions

If sports betting was legalized FF would die a slow and painful death.
Hopefully. When you bet on NE -7, that can't be rigged, manipulated, etc by employees/owners of the site(s) taking the bet. The regulation of betting on the games themselves, rather than this fake shit which can be manipulated by the sites creating the fake games, is much safer for the players.

You are dead on.

Yes pll would still play fantasy but eventually they all would find & try sports betting & realize its a whole new world.

I've said this before but here's the math :

Sports Betting Legalization = Facebook
Fantasy Sports = MySpace

If I'm an employ at DK, & I have the insider information to win bug jackpots, & now they put a ban on employees playing......

I get a friend/proxy to place the bets with my inside information. This crap isn't going away, & it will only get worse......when there is easy money to be made, people will ALWAYS jump all over the situation to make it.

How do you guys think the billionaires of this world became wealthy? By selling pretzels on the corner? Most, if not all did a lot of shady sh*t to get where there at & now have a legit business front acting like they got all their money legit.....oh so far from.the truth. And what you have with DFS is people trying to make big bucks easy.....it happens every day on Wallstreet......most people don't get caught.

there is some crossover but you guys are way off on DFS going away or even being marginalized if sports betting were made legal.

Seriously doubt DFS is going to be profitable long term anyway. The average fantasy sports player is going to get tired of losing week after week and eventually give it up. Check back in 5-10 years, see if DK and FD are still in business...
