You know what's funny, I was driving last week to go play golf and one of the analyst on Sirius channel 91 that works for Athelon sports was saying that Bama would be ranked #2 next year. I almost drove off the road. With all they are going to lose, 4yr starting QB, several off the OL, Clinton-Dix and Mosely to name a few off the defense, and he thought that they'd be ranked #2. I would not put them in the top 10 next year with all they will have to replace. They wont have a proven QB, the run game is turnover prone, and the OL is not what it was a couple years ago. Last time I checked their QB got sacked 7+ times in the Sugar Bowl.

I found it funny.

The thing is that Saban has had to reload after championships and won 3 of 4. He's proven he can replace talent with talent and keep a high level. Go look at who he has lost each year and people said the EXACT same thing you are and they continue to win. They lost a lot from the defense last year and it the difference was magnified. McCarron was 3 year starter, not 4. He only threw 48 passes in 2010. He was unproven as well, but he made an immediate impact...that can't happen again by a kid that has been sitting behind McCarron and knows the system backwards and forwards??? Until they go 7-5 or 8-4, I don't know how you don't give the benefit of the doubt to Saban that will have a top notch team again next year. 60-7 in five years...he knows how to replace kids that leave and still win...plain and simple.

Saban is a hell of a recruiter. Every young man dream is to play for Bama where the Bear coached at it seems like

when you get paid to talk like you know about sports..its common to go with the safer pick. if we all thought oklahoma was gonna bama, we wouldve loaded up on the ml. if someone told you beforehand they'll give you 100 if you picked the winner of that game..i'm sure 9 outta 10 of us wouldve picked bama.

I hope Saban has a better QB in waiting than the one that replaced McCarron in their blowouts. He was gawd awful.

You forget that these "experts" don't know anything about picking sides or handicapping. People assume that just because these guys played and are knowledable about the game that they are able to pick sides. All the NFL and NCAAF pregame show analysts don't know dick

But he did that knowing that he only had to beat LSU in the SEC West. There's not only LSU, but Miss St (Cant count on QB Dax Prescott missing the game), Ol Miss has gotten better, A&M will have a better defense and QB Hill will ease the loss of Manziel (if he goes), and then there's Auburn that will return a lot of talent from a very young team. And we've seen a drop in talent for Bama each of the past 3 yrs. Last years team almost lost to UGa in the championship game, lost to A&M, and was a screen pass going for a TD away from losing to LSU. I guess what I am saying is their "margin of error" is getting smaller and smaller. On top of that, if you remember how I for one said their secondary and OL was not very good after watching the A&M game, well it really did not improve a whole lot. What this shows you is that when you get ahead of Bama by a score of two, McCarron could not always bring them back.
