wannabe, in EPL, the bottom 3 teams get sent down...replaced by the top teams in the Coca-Cola Championship (they have playoff system which I won't get into)

almost every league in the world (except MLS and a few others) has relegation/promotion so that clubs like my Pgh Pirates can't hang around collecting MLB TV revenue with the big boys :)

not every league sends down exactly 3 though...you can see by most any table how many go down. Here's the EPL table and you'll see a line drawn before places 18/19/20. if you finish the year in one of those 3 spots you drop down a division which has a $60-80M impact on your club.

Very interesting..thanks for the replies.

I want to follow football this year--mainly the teams I have heard of are in the EPL--is this the best league to get started following??
What is the best website??
Cheers

Pinny has good asian handicap lines.

Although you won't be able to bet here you should check out out www.paddypower.com or www.skybet.com for up to the second odds or in game live odds for comparison.

Agreed and I have a small bet on them but I would take the over before I'd take Spurs.

Wigan too.

Yes but too predictable. I like to take an established team like Charlton (top 10 the previous year), or middlesboro in this case and fade them all year at a decent price. If you fade a team like Wigan or Derby County your returns will be much less.

i haven't seen anyone talk about Everton, but the more i look into it the more i'm thinking they should handle Wigan

Like all of them Except Man City.

I think it will take some time before all those new players can play as a team.
