Mr. Wahlberg,

Quick question for you. I'm fairly new to soccer betting, but have enjoyed it thus far and have tailed you quite a bit (gracias). My question concerns different lines for ML and spreads of less than a goal.

Example: In today's UEFA match between Liverpool and Fiorentina here's the line at my book

Wed 12/9 69 Fiorentina (UCL) +½ +107 ML +374
2:45PM 70 Liverpool (UCL) -½ -122 ML-116
71 Draw +269

I don't understand the different lines for the for (-0.5) and ML. Granted they're not large deviations, but over the course of the season they add up.

Am I missing something here?

Let's say you take Fiorentina +1/2 +107 and risk $100 to win $107 and the game ties 2-2 you win your bet because you have +1/2. But if you take the +374 you lose becase your team must win the game in regulation time + injury time to win. If you take the -1/2 your team must win in regulation time + injury time. hope this helps

I think he means the Liverpool (UCL) -½ -122 ML-116

the -½ and ML are exactly the same event - therefore the better price should be taken

In theory the book should price them up the same, but if they are pricing up to a set over-round in each market then prices can be different

I appreciate the feedback, just wanted to insure I wasn't missing something. I make my plays at 5Dimes because Pinnacle is not available in the U.S. thus I don't get quite as good odds.

But I see a differential between the -1/2 and the ML up and down the board.
As I said usually not a huge difference, but over time it adds up.
