While on this kind of subject, maybe someone can explain to me, why on the past college football games i wasn't allowed to parlay the side to the total of the same game, but when it was with another game, i had no problems.
When i asked, all they told me was " no hook ups allowed", something that the side was more than half the total, or something like that.

Don - rules on parlays are different. Some shops have the rule you can't parlay the total and side in the same game at all. Doesn't matter what the lines are. Some (which is what you are referring to) places you can't parlay if the side is more than half the total. For instance you can parlay Alabama +14 with the total of under 37 all day long. However you can't parlay Alabama +21 with the under of 37. The side (+21) is more than half the total (37). The reasoning behind the limitations is basically books want you to hit parlays with distinct and different events with no correlation between them. Without making this a long boring post the odds are pretty good if the total remains under 37 then your Alabama +21 bet has a good chance of winning as well.
There are some shops who let you bet these all day long though. They could care less. I had plenty of SW Monroe +35 U54 parlays this year. Just got to know where to shop.
