Yeah this is like charity for him like a passion project or a hobby...kinda like what I do exposing frauds on my spare time...some people just like to do what they feel is right...Why can't you guys take him at his word? There are things more important than money. Musk is the richest man in the world. He does not think about money like most of us commoners do. Here is his explantaion for why he bought Twitter:
Musk wrote in a statement attached to the tweet: “The reason I acquired Twitter is because it is important to the future of civilisation to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting to violence.”
He added: “That is why I bought Twitter. I didn’t do it because it would be easy. I didn’t do it to make more money. I did it to try to help humanity, whom I love.”
We'll see how things play out. But right now Elon Musk has been elevated to the top of my present day heros list.
They were losing the company money...?"(CNN Business — Twitter on Friday laid off employees in departments across the company, in a severe round of cost cutting that could potentially upend how one of the world’s most influential platforms operates one week after it was acquired by billionaire Elon Musk.
Numerous Twitter employees began posting on the platform Thursday night and Friday morning that they had already been locked out of their company email accounts ahead of the planned layoff notification. Some also shared blue hearts and salute emojis indicating they were out at the company."
I didn't know Twitter has 7500 employees. What exactly are they doing?

You are living like a God!
Yeah but who’s gonna wanna work for you? Especially in a job market where unemployment is so low and it’s hard enough to find top tier tech talent? If you see a twitter competitor this could end very badly for muskWell if you are the richest person in the world with a net worth of $203 billion, guess you can do whatever you want to do. True less well want to work for an asshole like that but maybe he ruining Twitter on purpose and has stock in the competition of Twitter...Yeah but who’s gonna wanna work for you? I’m saying it costs you zero dollars to show someone respect when letting them go…. It just seems kind of unnecessary and counterproductive to running a business to behave that wayTrue less well want to work for an asshole like that but maybe he ruining Twitter on purpose and has stock in the competition of Twitter...
