i`ve been told by a fellow poster who knows his shit that rafael feijao cavalcante? was s steal at -355....

and that bigfoot was a sure thing...

so i parlayed those two with lawler.... and in another parlay with nick diaz...

jake shields and nick thompson is a great match-up with a lean toward shields.....both hot as a pistol...

throw in the female match-up,and this just might be a better card with more competitive match-ups than the 2 "uber-cards" last weekend....

g.l.,gents...

are there odds for the Travis Galbraith vs Rafael Cavalcante fight?

I think Travis Galbraith will get killed but lines might be close say -130 for Rafael

Dear Customer,Please note that your ticket # 21625496 , Lawler wins inside distance +314 for $100 has been voided due to it being a bad line. The correct line is Lawler wins inside -194. The funds have now returned to your account. Let us know if there is anything else we may do for you.´

feijao opened around -355....a little rich for a straight wager, but, nice parlay filler..and i have to give some love to the guy that hipped me to the play...he goes by "hurricane eddy"..

btw...i don`t think for a second that cotto slugs it out with margarito...

i think cotto could come up on the short end of a battle of attrition with him...margarito seems impervious to being hurt...

and i also think that cotto`s become a smart fighter and he`s shockingly quick(as we saw vs mosely)...

so i fully expect him to try and get in and out, give angles, make margarito constantly reset...which can be done because it takes time to set those feet and unload with those long arms(even though he`s more of an inside fighter)

the question is,can he resist the impulse to trade for a full 12?...
i think he`ll have to...

margarito`s achilles heel is that he can be out-quicked(clottey early)or out-slicked(santos and that lefty stance).....

i`ve never seen him out-toughed,although you could make the case that williams outhustled him....

one of the best match-ups that could be made,imo...it`s just sad that the undercard is a tad pedestrian..

i`ve always wished that margarito and mayorga had fought at the pinnacle of all the mayorga hype....

i was lying in the weeds on that one....:smashf:..unfortunately the obvious match-up was never made...

Bayzler is one of Barnett's female training buddies and I would imagine she benefits from his grappling knowledge. As far as I know, all of the female MMArtists that Barnett trains with seem to do well. Megumi Fuji is probably the pound for pound best female fighter out there (if there exists such a thing).

Cristiane Santos is Cyborg's wife, and she apparently is a female version of Wanderlei Silva. Very aggressive striking.

I know there are videos of both floating around. Without a guidepost for competition, however, I have no idea how anyone could accurately handicap this fight.

Lawler for me so far. Diaz should be good parlay fodder since he is much better than Denny everywhere, cept maybe wrestling but Denny will get subbed if he gets the takedown. Looking at Thompson/Shields now.

Definitely going Thompson.

He has better wrestling credentials and both guys have their blacks in Gracie jiu jitsu. Shields with Caesar and Thompson with Sauer who is one of the best in the world as well.

Standing, Thompson hits harder. Has a weaker chin, but hits harder and has better wrestling.

I think "The Goat" could very well win. The line should be no more than +150. This one is off.

I noticed Goat has a hot streak going on with 12 wins in a row , wins over Weir , Chalangov , Neer and Eddie Alvarez by STRIKES ?!!! . His last loss was against Karo Parisyan which isnt really a shame IMO .
Def a LIVE dog in this one .

Thompson at those odds is a good pick, but he didn't look too great in his last fight vs Costa in Sengoku. He was getting out wrestled and losing the position/control battle. He was actually on his way to a decision loss had he not pulled off the kimura.

Shields is a big WW and has been able to grapplehump some of the best (e.g. Okami) so he's got a big strength and wrestling advantage. Don't let the credentials fool you. Still +300 is a pretty damn good price for a solid fighter like Thompson so it's worth a small play.

Yes, and once you see him you will understand why.

Just as a side note...

His teammates originally called him fainting goat. If you have never seen the YouTube video, look up the fainting goat. He was called that because he got knocked out so much in practice when he first started. Every good shot put him down and out. He has obviously since improved from that but still kept the "goat" part of it.

Placing another one early with that ugly brazilian guy to boost those odds on GSP against Fitch .

trtrzs4.jpg

Antonio Silva (Pictures) vs. Justin Eilers (Pictures)
Round
They circle, Eilers answering with a punch to Silva's outside kick. A minute and a half in and no man has claimed the cage. Eilers lands a nice jab. Silva goes for the double-leg and gets it. Eilers turtles and the Brazilian giant is all over him. Silva throws a punch and is penalized a point for striking to the back of the head. They begin again and Eilers lands square on Silva's chin, but slips in the exchange and falls. Eilers turtles, but manages to his feet again, shaking it off. A clinch on the fence and Silva has double underhooks. Eilers wiggles out, but pays with punches. They move out to center and tag each other well. Eilers is holding his own in the standup, but is overwhelmed by Silva's sheer size each time it hits the canvas. Silva 10-9.

Round 2
Silva attacks with his first one-two and Eilers' mouthpiece goes flying. Silva lunges forward with knees and more punches, and Eilers turns, then crumbles on the cage. Referee Herb Dean lets it go a few seconds more just to give Eilers the shadow of a doubt, but this one is all over. Silva is the new EliteXC heavyweight champion 19 seconds into the second round.

This was LOCK CITY all the way :missingte Now will need GSP to win in the next UFC to complete this parlay .
