Texas Health Presbyterian spokesman Wendell Watson denied all of these allegations from the nurses union.
'We have numerous measures in place to provide a safe working environment, including mandatory annual training and a 24-7 hotline and other mechanisms that allow for anonymous reporting,' Watson said in a written statement.

Pham treated Duncan from the day he was admitted to the hospital, to when he died last Wednesday. She carefully monitored her temperature and went to the hospital on Friday when she noticed a spike. On Tuesday, her condition was upgraded from 'stable' to 'good'.
Frieden said on Tuesday that he regrets not bringing in a specialized emergency response team from his agency on the day that Mr Duncan, 42, was diagnosed.
He said: 'I wish we had put a team on the ground the day the first patient was diagnosed.'
'That might have prevented this infection,' Frieden said. 'I am thinking of [Pham] constantly and hoping for her steady recovery.'
The CDC has now established an Ebola response team - a group of experts who can be on the ground within hours of a confirmed case in the U.S.
'Getting it right is really, really important because the stakes are so high,' Frieden said. 'We could have sent a more robust hospital infection control team and been more hands on with the hospital from Day One about how this should be managed.'

Obama: World is not doing enough to contain Ebola

Prepared: A medical worker wears a protective suit inside an isolation room appropriate to handle people inflected with the Ebola virus at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York, New York, USA

Some 76 medics are being monitored for the slightest sign of the virus following Pham's diagnosis.
The size of the medical team reflects the hospital's intense effort to save Duncan's life, but it also suggests that many other people could have been exposed to the virus during Duncan's time in an isolation unit.
The staff drew his blood, put tubes down his throat and wiped up his diarrhea, according to medical records released by his family. Medical staff analyzed his urine and wiped saliva from his lips, even after he had lost consciousness.
Dr Frieden said on Tuesday that new guidelines would lower the number of people who have contact with Ebola patients.
He said that health authorities still do not know how 26-year-old nurse Nina Pham was infected but they suspect a breach in the hospital's protocol.
Dr Frieden said that Miss Pham was taking them through the details of how she cared for Mr Duncan and had been 'terrific'.
The CDC chief said there would be immediate changes to Ebola care, adding that he was deeply worried about healthcare workers being afraid to go to work following Miss Pham's diagnosis.
'I am hearing loud and clear that health care workers are worried,' Dr Frieden said.
Immediate changes in care included bringing in a site manager who would oversee aspects of infection control - with one of the most important being how staff put on and take off protective clothing.
More than 20 staff from the CDC are now on the ground in Dallas along with two nurses from Emory in Atlanta, which has a specialized infectious diseases unit.
'We hope to provide on the ground standard operating procedures for PPE usage, based on CDC guidelines,' Nancye Feistritzer, RN, DNP, chief nursing officer at Emory University Hospital said in a statement. 'We also want to be a resource to other organizations who are facing the need to train direct care providers and to ensure adherence to protocols designed to keep the care team safe.'

@CDC asking 132 passengers on @FlyFrontier Flt. 1143 Cleveland to Dallas on Oct 13 to call 1-800-CDC INFO.

Now, why would they ask this? Well...

The second health care worker who tested positive for the Ebola virus traveled by air between Dallas-Fort Worth and Cleveland a day before she began showing symptoms for the potentially deadly disease, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says Wednesday.
On Oct. 14, the health care worker, whose name has not yet released, reported a low-grade fever and was isolated. The day before, the CDC said, she traveled on Frontier Airlines Flight 1143 from Cleveland to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Just imagine if this woman somehow attended the Browns-Steelers game this past Sunday? Holy Jesus.

It feels so good to know our Dear Leader is in charge and totally on top of this...

One of the few constitutional duties of the federal government is to protect the nation and the American people, but it can't even do that because 'progressives' are too busy shoving "social justice" up everyone's ass.

Why are they allowing people from these Ebola "hot zones" into the country??? Why can't the government seal the damn borders???

I guess this is Hussein's new economic "shovel-ready" jobs plan -- digging graves.

So you want the president to use executive orders to take away liberties as an emotional response based on irrational fears that are based on wild speculation? Sounds like your accusing the president of not being progressive enough?

Just a reminder...

A foreigner from an Ebola "hot-zone" brought this virus into the US.

This escalating crisis was completely preventable had immigration refused any passport or visa from these third-world shit holes.

Not "progressive" enough?? Are you suggesting countries shouldn't have borders? Borders exist for a reason - national security, as well as the preservation of a country's values and culture.

A country that can't or won't control its own borders isn't a country anymore.

We'd been told the chances of Ebola coming to the US were remote. It's not only here, it has now been transmitted. The only thing that had to be done was to prevent flights from Africa from landing in the US and locking down the border. That's literally it. Then we wouldn't be in this situation.

But the Stuttering Clusterfuck couldn't even be bothered to do that. Maybe someone should have told him Ebola has an effect on golf swings...then he'd have jumped to action immediately.

The new narrative is that Ebola isn't airborne. The medical field isn't my expertise wheelhouse, but isn't it possible for two viruses to share a single cell? If someone has both the flu and Ebola for example, that would allow it to go airborne, wouldn't it? Maybe someone who works in the med field can confirm or deny.

Now let's wait for the dims to blame Ebola on global warming and tell us all that comprehensive climate change is the only way to really address the situation.

Judging by the way this virus is spreading I say the government is lying.

What else is new?

Obama's illegal alien Democrat voter drive (open borders) is more important to him than the state of the country.

I guess we're about to find out in a big way.

And btw, the same government who fucked up the handling of this situation should absolutely be counted on to administer and manage health care for the entire nation.

Open borders is vital to the 'progressive' agenda because flooding the country with peasants who don't believe in America's traditional constitutional values allows the elites to "fundamentally transform" a constitutional republic into a socialist shit hole.

In saner times heads would already be rolling...and yet 39% still support this traitor??

take away liberties…

Securing the borders is hardly taking away liberties.

an emotional response…

In the unlikely event was an emotional response.

irrational fears that are based on wild speculation…

Hardly irrational, Ebola is here and no wild speculation at all.

C’mon Chazz, he screwed the pooch again.

Did you expect something different?

Have Libertarians become week in the knees?

Barry loves the executive order - it's not hard - no one is allowed in the US with a passport that has a stamp of a western African country within 30 days - and no direct flights from any country with an outbreak - we've got to be spending a small fortune trying to contain this one chain of Ebola that stems from one person - imagine if we had 20 Africans come to the US with Ebola?

No can do for the first "citizen of the world" president.

Remember, this past summer Hussein imposed a travel ban on Israel simply to pressure Bibi into accepting a ceasefire, but a similar ban from Ebola hot zones would ruin his "African legacy"

That's how radical and dangerous this guy is. From ISIS to Ebola, Obamacare, "climate change" and his totally fraudulent background, the Kenyan's agenda has never been America's agenda.

Poll: Americans Overwhelmingly Support Flight Restrictions From Ebola Stricken Countries

Nearly two-thirds of Americans say they are concerned about an Ebola outbreak in the United States, and about the same amount say they want flight restrictions from the countries in West Africa where the disease has quickly spread.

A new poll from the Washington Post and ABC News shows 67 percentof people say they would support restricting entry to the United States from countries struggling with Ebola. Another 91 percent would like to see stricter screening procedures at U.S. airports in response to the disease’s spread.
