So the picture of the skinny, bony African kid on a faux Topps baseball card draws rave reviews for being "funny as hell" (after numerous postings here at the Rx)
Switch it to a cute little Irish kid in a wheelchair and suddenly everyone is all sober and serious.
Interesting to learn the proper Pecking Order for applying correct Humor Quotient.
SIDE NOTE...The tease was not directed at little McGovern, btw. It was a jab at Barry B....

Nope, totally sober, though with about 5.0mg of Ambien working.
Bottom line is that I Barman, approved that post when it was made and take full responsibility for it's having utterly bombed for being a crowd pleaser.
Will use the Talking Vagina video clip next time. You all may still call me a douche, but at least BUSTER and SKINSRAJ will be on board.

If you think it is some racist thing just come right out and say it. If the kid in the wheelchair had been black, green or yellow, you would have gotten the same negative reaction.
I don't recall any threads where people thought the picture of the Bonds card was 'funny as hell'. Maybe people thought photoshopping it onto a Pirates card was funny, as opposed to just a random picture of a malnourished child.
How do you know the kid is Irish by the way? Just because his last name fits your stereotype of Irish names?

I don't think that Bonds card is funny, but I think pretty obvious someone went on the internet to find the most extreme picture of a skinny dark-skinned kid. Do I think starving kids are funny? No. But Bonds did play for the Pirates, he was skinnier at the beginning of his career, there are the connections to Bonds
I'll make it real simple for you: when you see this picture of a 3 year old kid sitting in a wheelchair what part makes you think of Barry Bonds?
I can't even understand anyone making fun of the way a little kid looks, especially a handicapped one, so give up trying to inject race into this thread
