To the haters who said I was "Incompetent" for the half time prediction of a final score of Wake 31-20, I guess I wasn't too far off!

Fucking classless thugs on Wake Forest - diving into the end zone, celebrating hits with 40 seconds left.

God forbid players have any humility anymore.

even though i'm obviously venting about how that just lost, from a coaching standpoint why wouldn't he kneel the god damn ball. that's fucken square one of coaching is to not put a sure game at risk. unreal.

Ha... I love it. That was the luckiest thing ever. I had Wake Forest in a 6 point PLEASER, so I had them -9. Now, if BYU can cover -2.5, I'll be in business. But, I am sure that has no chance in hell now that I had that miracle.

If you can't stop a FB trap from scoring from the 38 yard line, you should probably just never accept a bowl game again. Wakes coach ran that play hoping they would get about 1 yard and not fumble, and Navy just so happens to not tackle a guy that runs a 5.0 40.

What is navy going to do if they make that fg and get the onside kick? Score a TD w/ 28 seconds left running the option?

At least they guarantee themselves a shot at getting into OT...if it takes them more than a play or two to score on the first drive, it doesn't matter if they get it to a 3 point game if they're kicking off with 4 seconds left.

Kicking a field goal there GUARANTEES them a chance at running plays to get into OT with the onside recovery assumed.

Navy's chances of scoring a TD w/ 28 seconds left running the option are a lot better than their chances of making a 75 yard field goal with 3 seconds left.

In short, by making the FG there they GUARANTEE themselves getting a chance to tie the game if they recover the onside kick, you can't say the same about trying to go 40 yards and score a TD and still needing a second score.

Exactly.... It was absolutely the correct decision from a coaching standpoint....whether or not you think so from a betting standpoint, is another thing alltogether.

There's no better job security than covering the spread in a bowl game. Coaches know the spread and they're probably aware the alumni and boosters do as well. Reminds me of Boise six years ago when they practically ran a hurry up offense and threw a touchdown pass with 27 seconds left to beat Iowa State 34-16 and cover the 13-point spread. Since I had a huge bet on Iowa State I'll always remember that damn game.

Who cares navy was not scoring in 37 seconds either way.

It should have been a push.

LOL @ some of you idiots.

The reason why Wake took a timeout there, was because Navy's coach opted not to. It was 3rd down. So, since Navy wasn't taking a timeout, they let the playclock run to 0 and took a timeout to avoid the delay of game.

Coming out the timeout, why kneel? Wake Forest kneels, Navy calls a timeout, 4th down. Now what? Does WF punt it? Attempt a FG with the risk of it being blocked/returned back, or, miss, giving Navy good field position?

Navy couldn't tackle for shit, and that's why the TD was given up.

On the flipside, the QB already got sacked for Navy right there, so they had to take a timeout. Had they not, and ran another play to go into the endzone, another tackle, sack and that could be ball game right there.

So, they chose to kick the FG since they were already in FG range. They need two scores anyway. Kick the FG, make it, onside kick hope to recover, and then you have a shot at a hailmary into the endzone.

It's not that hard people
