I been watching Duke all year. I agree with ya that there are about 4-6 other teams out there that can give them a good fight. Michigan St should be a real surprise should they make the tournament. Izzo made an abnormally tough schedule for them early in the season. Set the team up for failure if you ask me but in the long run that early failure is going to benefit in the conference play. I don't know much about the west coast but I always felt that the pac-10 has been sliding in recent years correct me if I's wrong. But Duke is good, real good. Tonight will answer a lot of questions,too. Coach K may have been trapped in the sweet 16 past couple but this is pretty much the same team from last year only they're stronger and more confident. Enjoy the game.
I've noticed that everyone fails to include St. Joe's in these teams better than Duke...St. joes has beaten Gonzaga, Cal(at cal), Nova(at nova), xavier(at xavier), richmond (at richmond), BC, Penn ( at penn)...they ARE THE hottest team in the NCAA, with MAYBE stanford as the only other argument..by the way most of these teams have upset a top 25 squad...don't overlook the hawks just because they are A-10, they play tough schools all year
Just like GT the other day, Duke will wear down Carolina and drive the 9 miles back home triumphant; I love when people doubt Duke. As an alum who certainly bets the opponents when warranted, I usually have a good feel about the Devils. Duke gets up for big games like this. I think the game will fall between 7 and 12 with the game not being in doubt the last 8-10 minutes. People really underestimate Duke's toughness which is great for those who know better.
As for Lucifer's wishful thinking....As a Philadelphian & a St Joes and Big 5 fan, I can assure you that St Joe's wouldn't be able to stay within 20 points of Duke. Duke's size would foul out Bryant and there is noone to back him up. Duke plays TEAM D and everyone would help w/ Jameer. Believe me, you wouldn't know Carroll was in the game cause he'd never be open. I'd love to see St Joe's be able to compete w/ Duke, but I've seen enough of both teams this year, and it ain't close. I'm proud of the Hawks and will root for David & Goliath games like they played 2 yrs ago against Stanford, but I'm just being honest. Someone else is going to beat St Joes in the tourney bacause they arent deep enough nor do they shoot fouls well (other than West & Nelson) in crunch time.
Keep betting UNC and get it down to 3!

I have to agree about Duke vs. UNC.Duke is the bet here.They are the better team and the only way they lose is if the ACC gets Hank Nickols and Lenny Wirtz out of retirement.They were nortorious Carolina refs.
I've lived on tobacco road for almost 50 years and have seen some of the worst called games in my life at Chapel Hill.
Lefty Drisell from Maryland was robbed more times there than the stage coach to Dodge City.And Clemson is something 0 and 50.
But if Duke doesn't cover 4 tonight there should be an investigation.But I've seen some calls in CH that I've never seen called anywhere else.
Still my $$ on Duke,win or lose,I'll be watching and checking the fouls.Thats the only way the hills win this one.
