Lolol. ^^^^^^^^^^

What will really make you LOL is that ALL of the On-Ramps to The Old Freeway, former Interstate 10 down in South Phoenix Buckeye Road-ish Area 19th Ave On Ramp, 7th Ave On Ramp, 7th Street....(is there an On Ramp at 16th Street?!? if so then that one too) are like what OP Describes. :):)just without the Orange Cones.

They do have some what of an "Entry Lane", not very much though just enuff to make you know "Welcome To The Thunderdome" Tina Turner shit plays in the background at each meeting over the last 26 Years ADOT have met and had to sit thru Power Point Presentations of the problem, eventually deciding ain't a damn thing can be done about it. "Is What It Is."

Or what it was. That exists still today as we have thousands more vehicles vying to enter via On Ramps designed for a totally different time. Naturally theres Trucking Companies down there.

1950's architecture lol. I don't know The Exact date but man its Wild Down There.

Was there any Entry Lane at all? fightgood? After the abbreviated On Ramp? Is there any SHOULDER (area where Emergency Pull-Off can be done)...after that On ramp?

No entry lane if you mean a paralell running lane specifically used for entry vehicles merging. And no shoulder cause of the construction. The shoulder or emergency lane was barricaded off with those short white concrete walls. Those walls even had some cheesy plywood extensions on top of them which reduce visibility .

It just pissed me off cause the lady behind me was tailgating me hard and then went ape shit when I stopped. I'm not pulling out unsafely cause she's in a hurry though.

Tina Turner..thats a good one or even GnR "welcome to the jungle" would work.

My Opinion is that, from the sound of it, The DOT in your state dropped the ball here. Sounds like the On Ramp needs to have a Full Stop till they get it done. She should not have been Tailgating you. "Welcome To The Jungle" = a ZILLION times better song. If they won't install a Full Stop maybe your DOT would consider putting in a few loud speakers blasting that song, at the end of that On Ramp. I'm very surprised that they have this set up this way.
