GB good news for you.

My drinking has steadily increased over the last year but what really scared me is that my smoking has also. While I spit up pretty much every morning yesterday there was blood in there. I see the smoking as a greater immeadiate problem especially at my age. Sharp pain at the end of a deep breath--a little better today. But very bad at my age.

No smoke now for 38 hours and only one bourbon last night and none so far today.

Let's face it most of us have addictive personalities. It is good to have to this forum when in need of of friends and support. Those of you who make a joke of these things, well you'll grow up someday.

One day at a time GB. One day at a time.

Green D,

The designated driver idea is concisely brilliant.....though nothing long term. The crannberry/club soda with lime also gives a
sufficient hand prop AND "crutch" as it were.

Know that by sharing............you are TRYING!

Beats the heck out of simply drowning one's sorrows..........just more depression follows that sicho.

I only wish you the best, ...keep the faith.

Green,

The designated driver thing is concisely brilliant.......and the cranberry/club soda w/lime makes for an excellent hand prop and/or
temporary crutch as it were.

Keep the faith,.......keep on trying day by day.

I am so proud of you-
wow I wish I could do the same with smoking

Agreed, keep up the good work Green and avoid as much as possible those things you associate with drinking.

Angelle you have to put more effort into quitting smoking. I think I quit on my third time quitting. I know it's hard as nicotine is highly addictive. I put my cigarette money in a separate bank account, as motivation, and after a year bought my first computer with it.

Mr Jones, if you are coughing up blood you need to see a doctor immediately. I hope everything is fine.

Anybody that knows me knows that I am sincere in this matter. I don't mind the jokes and taunts and find them amusing.
As for the party, this very pretty girl at work asked me to go with her, so I think that may be my addicition for the night.
