Apologizing was a bad idea. Not only because he didn't say anything wrong, but because everyone knows the apology is not sincere, and that makes things worse. He should have just reiterated his words and said that the words do not indicate racism in any way. I know none of this is Drew's fault. Someone got to him and told him he must apologize, and now it's done.
I believe it was sincere .
