“Drew has a stong belief in what the flag means to him. but others don`t respect that.”
”Saints fan, but want to see Jenkins released or traded. Any person that doesn't respect a man to have an opinion different from his and wants to shut him up, is not a teammate. That's today's liberalism”

“but when Jenkins says that drew "can't expect the rest of the country to feel the same as he does" isn't that essentially what Jenkins is asking Drew to do”
“Wasn’t Nike/Kap ad slogan “stand up for what you believe in even if it costs you everything”. Brees just did it..................and they still say he’s wrong.”

“Brees just became America's favorite professional athlete. True leadership and insight. All would do well to think about his words and consider. He's right 100%.”
“I would LOVE if the left were actually tolerant. I would LOVE if you could actually have a conversation with them without them calling you racist just to fill that empty place in their soul. But the radical ones know only hate.”
“Many of us were taught to stand and be still and quiet during the national anthem if you are at an event where it is being played or performed. It was never about bowing to the flag and country as being perfect in any way. It was about the people that fought for our country and those that died doing so. If you talked, laughed, or did anything other than show respect for the duration of the anthem, you were in serious trouble. Drew Brees clearly practices this, because he believes in it. Sadly, that is now condemned. Kaepernick and others don’t have to stand, but those that believe in standing don’t have to like it. Kaepernick is right to raise awareness of racial injustice. He just chose the wrong method, IMO. I think it’s the wrong method because it sowed more division than awareness. As a starting QB, including his super bowl run, Kap had the ability to speak on national television several times per week before he ever sat or kneeled.
“Jenkins will have the same problem in New Orleans that he had in Philly. He doesn't understand that protesting isn't the issue but the fact that it is being done in the workplace (stadium) is wrong”
“Cute! Did Brees say anything bad about his teammates? But they feel inclined to insult him. We don't pay ridiculous prices for tickets so we can watch players make political statements on the field. If they want to disrespect the flag, do it on their own time”
“As someone who served that flag they disrespect I stand with Brees, they can do their "protests" somewhere else on their time and their dime!”
“When Brees gave an honest opinion and explained his feelings I'm pretty sure he wasn't aware he needed approval or advice from Jenkins. Apparently Mr. Jenkins feels his opinion is the only one that matters and no one else is allowed to express theirs?”
“Jenkins is a cancer and always will be, Brees has done more for African Americans in New Orleans than anyone”
