Not sure if I've had an out of body dream but I've had something similar over and over, not recently though. When I fall asleep, I wake up in my dream but can't move. I can see all around the room clear as day but can't move my body, like I'm paralyzed! In the dream I try to move my hands and head, but can't. All I can do is look all around the room. It really freaks me out and I finally manage to wake myself up.

I used to get that all the time around adolescence, but haven't had one in many years. It sucks.

Some of you are referring to a condition called "sleep paralysis" and is also referred to as "night terrors"...goes way beyond normal nightmares. Google it and you will find a lot of information... .a very scary experience... I used to struggle with it periodically and seems like it happened after a long weekend partying and when going to sleep on my back...Haven't had it happen for years, thank God....terrifying. Some crazy explanations for it out there but also some scientific explanations..

I feel for anyone who has experienced this. Like I said, way beyond a normal nightmare....

It has been my most common nightmare for as long as I can remember, it sucks with it happens but I dont put too much thought into it afterwards.

I get the paralysis dream a lot. I either have to escape from something and can't, or I need to reach something and can't.

Another one I get is that I am in the back seat of a car that's moving but noone is driving. Funny though I never crash in the dream.

I dream about missing teeth too.

Last night I was in a car with mom (she's deceased yet dream about her all the time.) I am in the passenger seat and we are traveling through a wooded area, then the road turns into a huge body of water! She doesn't stop and the car just floats along........

Bill makes fun of me all the time cause every day I have a new story for him.

Damn. I have had that wake up but cant move dream a bunch of times. It's horrifying.

I have also had this dream many times...I have it usually laying on my stomach and cant move even though I try. I will kick my leg (many times) trying to wake up.

I am pretty sure this means you don't think you're taking good care of yourself health-wise.

I have that dream too, that my teeth are coming out or crumbling.

I have looked it up in many places, it's a self-esteem problem from what I have read, but weirdly, I never had braces, my teeth are white and straight.

Also, I read that the paralysis thing could be related to REM sleep. When you are in REM, you truly can't move, weird right?

If you are trying to quit an addiction of most any type, you will have nightmares. Or maybe you are not eating right, or maybe you are not getting enough excercise. It's usually a change or event of some kind that triggers them.

If you aren't eating right maybe try a coupon book from POS69. He takes his fat ass to Mickey D's at least 3 times a week.
