Yup.....no way shooting those big tires would have helped much. Either way, its very difficult rrti g to shoot out tires when a truck is moving fast, & the element of surprise is thrown in.
Moving fast? It sped up a shit ton after those cops tried getting in front of the truck to shoot the driver.
Doesn't matter if you hit all the tires. But you can't drive anything fast with shot tires. And to drive 2-3 miles with shot tires?

Let me ask you this, why don't cops shoot suspects in the legs? And some of these suspects are unarmed......they shoot at the biggest part of the body to.make sure they go down. I just think its too hard to shoot out tires, this isn't the movies where James Bond nails a tire & the truck.flips over.

I wasn't thinking about the movies. I was thinking about a terrorist in a truck elevated above everyone while moving... The cops only have handguns at the moment, what are the chances you hit the guy and actually kill him? Maybe 10% chance at best right there? Think about that angle. That's a tough shot compared to aiming down at the tires.
I understand not thinking about shooting the tires in the heat of the moment you just want to kill the terrorist and eliminate the threat. But, none of you guys said that.
Fact is shooting one of the tires would of slowed the truck down to some degree. Might of saved someone's life instead of a few bullets that ended up not doing shit to the terrorist in the truck
Watch the video again. The truck is moving at maybe 15 mph. Then speeds up a shit ton. Then the police are chasing the vehicle. I guess they knew at that point that there might be explosives in the back, but that raises the question why not shoot the tires? lol. Nobody is going to seriously ask that though in the wake of all of this. I just try to make sense of what I am seeing. If the truck is driving on rims, some people might of seen sparks or heard it skidding on rims. So yes it probably would have helped.
