do yourself a favor...if u make it down to delta downs...keep to yourself...one of the biggest mistakes of my life was going to that track back in the early 90's(believe me it didn't look like it does now)....got caught up in some shenanigans in the backstretch where they had a simulcast room(i think that's what it was,,,,all i can remember was picnic tables with that red and white checkerboard cloth on top)anyways one thing led to another(famous last words)and i wound up eating snake at some all nite bbq in the backwoods of louisiana and drinking moonshine or gasoline...who know's?...i could go on...but to say a scene from 'deliverance' almost broke out...is putting it mildly....i laugh thinking about that night everytime i see my old man talk about cheating quarterhorses!!
my wife has always known. she used to sit on the bed next to me while i was sitting at the computer chair...now its the other way around. i follow the games on espn gamecast and she absolutely loves it! the very 1st time she was so confused. i told her "just follow the little baseball". ill be out in the yard smoking a cig when all of a sudden i'll hear our bedroom window open and she scream something like..."jjjjake...mauer just hit a 2 out 2 run double for the lead" or something to that effect. its funny.
