Ever since shale busted prices in mid-'14, people been saying buy the oil dip and it will recover. Offshore drilling, storage, transport

Gotta be right eventually.

Like always in the market there is a ton of money to be made and lost. I personally think there are better areas to invest in than oil. At some point someone will look real smart for buying oil. Good for them.

I got out of my triple short on oil too early.....hard to get too mad for making over 50% return in a week though.

Still kind of shorting oil with the oil tankers.....they will become cash cows for awhile.

$1.10. May be go to zero or negative.

A certain type of crude being drilled in Wyoming was below $1 more than a month ago. All the marginal demand has disappeared. Obviously the drillers are heading for depression type layoffs, but I'm also waiting to hear about mass layoffs at refineries soon.

Chop I'm sorry to hear about your personal situation, but you've likely been aware of the cyclical nature of the oil business. The negative side of it hasn't been experienced for decades.

Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Alaska, and any states that have large employment involved with shale or fracking are going down the tubes.

So WTI is negative 30, while Brent is like 25

Aren't they very similar, the prices used to fairly close.

Yea I hear you .
Never lost a job before .
Still haven’t .
I will be highly impressed with myself if I survive this .

I assume I will be laid off and able to go back to work at a later date if things get better .

I do have savings but I hate to eat into that .

Trump

We will never let the great U.S. Oil & Gas Industry down. I have instructed the Secretary of Energy and Secretary of the Treasury to formulate a plan which will make funds available so that these very important companies and jobs will be secured long into the future!
