That's my point in the initial post. The commercials are non-stop, especially on the radio. That's a shit-ton of pillows to run that many ads.
Those are ads the tv stations run when they did not sell the spot to a conventional marketer or company.
The my pillow company only gets charged on the pillows they sell. If the commercial is on ESPN for example ESPN has its own 1800 number for that commercial and ESPN get a certain percentage of the sales of mypillow in that spot.
On TBS or another channel it will have another 800 number of URL so they can know which channel the customer was watching when they made the order.
There are many partnerships like this between networks and products so they don't really have to pay any money upfront .
