I see much improvement in Robbie Gordon, but I am in no way a fan of his.

I agree,he has improved but he still SUCKS! If I was driving in NASCAR the 2 guys I definetly wouldn't drive beside are Robby Gordon and Jimmy Spencer! They cause more wrecks than anybody else just because they don't have a clue about what they are doing! The only exception is Robby on the road courses,he is a threat @ those.

Its a shame people say that because if you attend it it is spetacular. Its the biggest sporting venue in country and every year its full to capacity. Like I said in earlier posts, I don't even watch Auto Racing, but Indy Is a different animal altogether. You can't duplicate that power seeing it close up, especially in first turn.I love Football and went to the Super Bowl with great seats and great game last year, but I would choose Indy over it.Nothing on TV replaces any sporting Events live so I could see people say its boring if they haven't been there

watching cars turn left for 500 laps does not interest me but I respect others if it interests them....to each his own

what if they turned around and went the other way and turned right for 500 laps ...would that be something??

Indy used to be the premier circuit in the 80s and early part of 90s...Then they got greedy split up into 2 factions (IRL and CART) and have gone downhill ever since. No one in north america gives a rat's ass b/c their are virtually no good racers from the states or canada. Who wants to cheer for some foreign smuck from Spain or Italy?

Nascar should hold a race on saturday of memorial weekend at Indianapolis speedway (using indy cars), then run the Coca coca 600 on monday and they could further prove that they are by far the better product.

quote:
Coca Cola 600 is where the action is tomorrow!

Why does Robby Gordon waste his time trying to run both races, everybody knows his sorry ass can't win either damn one!

Couldn't agree more. All Robbie does is bitch and moan anyway. He and Kevin Harvick are two of the biggest piss ants in NASCAR.

Compared to the Coca-Cola, the Indy is a snooze.

I believe one reason you can't compare Nascar with the INdy 500 is simply speed. Correct if I'm wrong but I think the speed of the cars are a factor on why fans watch this Race.I've seen the Brickyard 400 at the Speedway and those cars almost look out of place on that Super Speedway. I can almost go to the concession stand after they pass my seat come back and not miss them come by again. There also is alot more margin for error in the rigs that Nascar drivers are driving, so again I'll take the Indy cars who are off a little, will end up in a crash because of the speeds they are going.I see the point about no americans to root for now that Michael Andretti isn't racing anymore, but I just watch it for the speed and power.Probaly won't see another race until next year
