Does anybody have The Genie from DirecTv?

Do they plug something into your TV to aim the remote at?

I'm trying to get a handle on how this works....

Yes it's a small gadget with a antenna that picks up the signal from the genie plugs in to the back of the TV

The genie is like a WiFi box just point remote at TV

I upgraded to the Genie and had to sign another two year contract. I got them to throw in Sunday Ticket premium package for free though. If you already have Direct TV, just ask and I'm sure you will get the same deal. Think new customers get Sunday Ticket free this year also. Have gotten Sunday Ticket free now 2 out of 3 years with them.

Got it about a year ago.

Works very well and easy to operate.

I'm going to call Direct TV today and drop them.

I can't even get NBC through them any more.
