No he is NOT a medical doctor. Yes, PHD means doctor but in his field. I would say he is a very educated person but reading his article he basically said “would, could, may” and that’s just facts. He stated possibilities. He stated opinions of possibilities that would be no different than if you asked a pop warner football player what would happen if 15,000 CFB players played with the CV19 we have going on. So I now question his intelligence and can’t pay much mind to this.
Somebody titled it DOCTOR to get more stir and wow factor. So people run around saying a doctor said etc! He thinks at least 1 person dies if they play and that’s too many if even 1. About 3-4 guys die each year anyways. So what’s are concern? Death is okay but death via CV is not okay? He gives a range of predictions which could be fact if you have previous data and years. Saying 30-50% of players will get CV can’t be fact. Sure it’s possible. But he has no data to compare to registering what we would say is fact.
He is using CDC numbers and percentages vs total CFB players. I used same data and came about his numbers. But he never applied the variables. Age alone debunks his numbers drastically. I get where he is angling it from. But it would be like the opinion of a 14 y/o if we asked him what they think may happen if we open grandmas nursing home back up to allow family bingo night. Well, somebody may, would, could die and that is fact because the fact is May, would and could are possible by chance. It’s too easy to play on words and use stats as manipulating or supporting opinion of influence.
