Stop Picking on Doc's porn style
Republicans write: Doc, cant come up with an original idea, all he can do is sponge, because he has no clue on what the fuck he is doing, except to watch and learn, he is good at starting shit on the internet and making it look like a joke. Now I like Doc,he is my good buddy, but all he can do is take ideas and make them look like his own. He had big shoes to fill at TheRX, he hasnt come close. Doc is a great guy, but he's gonna fuck with the wrong person soon.

Doc Mercer Responds: When I read stuff like this, I ask myself, "Why is these guys, who happen to be good buddys, so hostile and livid and acting like little bitches?" If you read the post, I can see the republicans sitting in their chairs thinking "I know everything about porno because we are soooo original. And we are true innovators!" What a fucking ego! Read it again and see. For the record, I've never criticized the republicans movies or their directing style. And I never will. I don't criticize the works of other directors publicly without provocation. The reason for it is that it makes the writers look like whiny, insecure bitches. And you can read in the republicans text that the insinuation is that I've copied their style yet again. Now, how can I copy someone who's movies I've never even watched?
Yes, it's true. I am a deep fan of the videos by Mike John, Tom Byron and Khan Tusion. And they have influenced what I do and I freely admit it. I am not a fan of the republicans work and have told them that in person. Long teases bore the living crap out of me; however, there are alot of consumers that obviously love it. So it's simply a matter of choice to the consumer. To me, the republicans copied and sponged John Stagliano's style, polished it up, made it pretty, and 'made them look like their own'. That's just a guestimation on my part.
To test the Republican Egomaniac Theory (R.E.T.), here's something they once wrote on ADT: "We have raised the level of the presentation of female talent in this business, and it has obviously influenced every shooter in the business."
Pubs, as yet another peace gesture, I'll make it clear. Yes, you guys have influenced my shooting style. Absolutely! Feel better? Everytime I shoot Un-Natural Sex or No Swallowing Allowed or, let's say, a Minion shoot, I think of you. In fact, sometimes I find myself asking "What would the Pubs do in this situation?" Everytime I interview a girl, I ask myself, "What kind of questions would the Pubs ask?" Everytime I shoot Internet content and I hit a brain drain, I find myself asking, "Should I see Space Invaderz for inspiration?" Pubs, if that makes you feel better, please, by all means, accept my apologies. If it makes you feel better, let me make it clear: You guys are my inspiration.
I don't want this stuff to go any further. All kidding aside, without seeing his videos, I think I can safely say that Republicans are considered some of the best pornographers out there. Are they better than Mike John, John Stagliano, early Seymore Butts, or Tom Byron? I don't think they are remotely close. But again, that's my opinion. I will also say that I will never, ever reach the level of those four directors no matter how long I'm in the business. I'm an idiot behind the camera. Different strokes for different folks. And I'm sure the Pubs think my movies suck and frankly they're entitled to their opinion as well. Unlike them, I can handle negative feedback and welcome it. I don't take myself or this industry seriously. After all, we make fuck movies not Gone With The Wind.
They made threats that they're going to respond to my original post in an effort to crush my credibility. Too bad. Everyone around me and probably some at EA are laughing like hyenas over this ridiculous quarrel. They are the foolish, hostile directors that started this entire thread by making idiotic threats and belittling me over the phone while I was drunk over this stupid fucking gloryhole set I've built in my garage. As far as I'm concerned, this thread is dead. Unless Republicans would like to revive it and really get nasty. Believe it or not, I have a tremendous amount of respect for Republicans and their work ethic. Enough said.
