Illini--you have come a long way the past 2 years as an apprentice wiseguy.

Very impressive move up the ranks in that short timeframe.
Thanks, Fish. I appreciate that. I guess my biggest strength is that I know my limitations. I have a long, long way to go. But I look forward to the challenge.

I like your thought of taking roughly ten point favorites. Situations where you just dont see that club losing, but yet being in for a battle seem like this could work.

Picking games with a hook on them also helps, since ties lose.

I also like the waiting until conference play angle.

I may start investigating these plays because its seems like conference play a lot of these games come down to the number.

Hoops teasers are harder than heck to hit. Gave up on them a long time ago. Have no problem playing 4-team monster FB teasers if you mainly stick to big dogs, espically in the NFL.

I would never play a basketball teaser, this IMO is worse than College Football teasers.

Two years ago, I experimented with teasing both sides of two college basketball games at 5 Dimes. Ten point four-team teasers at -120. All I had to do was find two games that I thought had very sharp lines and would land close to the number. I teased a lot of 10 point fav's down to PK and +20. That kind of thing. I had incredible success. But D2Bets is pretty sharp and said that I was still betting at a disadvantage. I don't know. I'm not convinced yet, and may try it again this conference season and see what kind of success I have.

Illini, you should checkout BetDon for your basketball teasers as they offer 4 team 10 teasers @ +130 ....plus they count ties as a push......Much better deal than the 5dimes offer

They also offer up to 16pts with ties still counting as a push....I do alot of open end 16pt teasers which can be profitable as you have a week to complete them

Journey, I have had great luck combining college with pros on monster teasers. Bet Jamaica offers 14-point on CFB, so I'll take 14 additional points with a 40+ dog and cover all day.

Basketball - No, your better off with just separate straight wagers.

Maybe on a slow action day with only 1 NBA game or something I'll tease the side & total, thats it.

NFL presents opportunities w/teasers

-13.5 fave down to -6.5 (-14 into -7)
-9.5 into -2.5 or (-10 into -3)
+4.5 into +11.5

The key is playing around key #'s. I personally don't ever tease totals, too much can happen in a close game, better of with a side:banger:

I've been betting NFL teasers for the past several years with a positive return. I experimented betting the NBA but was never very successful. I think I was betting too many favorites. 2 years ago I started betting NBA pre-season and only on the underdogs. Did exceptionally well. Continued doing it this year and the trend continued. I carried that on to the regular season and I've been having pretty good success betting mostly the underdogs. I started betting College basketball teasers during March Madness last year. Pretty much all underdogs. Did pretty well. Now I'm betting the regular season on College basketball and have been doing exceptionally well. Betting underdog/favorite about 70/30. I think one of the advantages about betting basketball vs NFL is the number of games to chose from. I counted 43 College basketball games that are available to bet today. Unlike the NFL where you have 17 games at best per week to choose from. I've been taking anywhere from 2 to 4 games per day in College basketball. I try to make it a habit to put only 1 or at most 2 basketball games per ticket hooked up with NFL games. I will usually play the 8 or 10 point teasers on basketball depending on the side I'm taking and the point spread offered.

It still may be too early to tell if betting College basketball will be a successful proposition. So far so great. I'm new at betting College basketball and I have a lot of learning to do about the College game. As a matter of fact I'm not much of a College basketball fan but if there's money to be made I will become one.

I've experimented with teasers on College football and that was pretty much a disaster. I will still bet teasers on College football but very carefully. Mostly the unders - SEC games in particular.

Had very good success betting teasers in NFL Europe and the Canadian football league. Had mixed results betting the WNBA. Underdogs aren't as profitable as in the NBA and College.

Even though I don't play many Basketball Teasers, I must say I've been saved by those 5 points in basketball more than I have ever been saved by 6 or 7 points with football..

They are -130 at betdon, not +130.
