If you follwed his pick's throughout a entire yr or season whichever it may be, but don't wager in them but just track his pick's, and he prves to pick at a 54-56% rate, why would it matter whether he is betting or not. Your money should have nothing to do with your info you gather to make your pick anyway's. The money only play's a part when wagering.

I have had many an argument about this. My wife is always wanting me to go out with her freinds husband who has nothing in common with me. I told her just because she likes the lady doesn't mean i have to be freind's with her husband. he is a complets A hole. A real name dropper that talks about gambling and his alma mater and how he would bet tons on his team that week. He asks me useless questions constantly about the line , the total , like he is going to bet. it is useless and nausous. he has never bet in his life and if he had tomorrow's newspaper he still wouldn't risk a dime. NO, i would not listen to anyone that doesn't put his money where his mouth is.

My associates invite me to college baseball games all the time..I say "no line?..no go!"..

Unless it makes me laugh..I dont watch anything I cannot bet on..I have been watching the entire Miss Universe pageant yearly ever since I could bet on it..i never watched 1 minute of it before..

30 years of gambling..figure i`m down 600-800K..but as I make my next bets today I expect to go on the greatest winning streek of my life..as I do everyday..no help for me..I am sick...bet bet bet bet bet bet bet everything..help me..help me!

I will listen to any opinion on anything. I only bet $5/10/20 but I make my bets with serious intent on winning, keep accounts to the penny, and sometimes stumble downstairs in AM hours to check west coast scores. I appreciate all sports expertise and opinions, but wagering behind the opinion kicks it up to a second level which is why I totally respect most all RX posters who post picks. There is a parallel subject regarding wagering 'success rates as a function of the amount wagered' for a future thread. All said, I read all opinions but flip down different filtered glasses when I know the writer has money riding.

There are handicappers and there are bettors often they are the same but not always, however, I think it would be hard for a handicapper that dosent bet to recognize all the possibilities ie for a teaser you would be looking for different criteria than for a straight bet and so on.

Absolutely. I have learned and earned much from academic research guiding me where to find the market inefficiencies. None of these folks have ever placed a bet!

There are plenty of coaches/managers who never played the game but are still able to produce winners. Why not handicappers? If I'm following someone all I care about is the ability to come out ahead.

they had a guy on mike and mike who won a pool by picking 25 in a row to win the million dollar purse. The first one to pick 25 in a row correct won the million. 2 other's were at 23 before they picked wrong. The winner worked at ups loading trucks and now this.. what would anyone who loads trucks for ups know about gambling...lol true stiry.
