Great contests....thanks to Rio for taking the time and generously offering the free chances...

Still trying to hit one myself....have missed the 4-prop on at least 4 occasions by 1 prop...2 of those I switched a pick and went 3-1 because of it...

Aggravating to have a fingertip on the carrot and not be able to drag it in....

Like the 4-props for 50 bucks better than the final score or 9/10 prop for big money....4-prop seems easier to hit, 9/10 prop appears to be more of a lottery....

Still looking for that 11 foot ladder to attack that 10 foot fence.....

Thanks again for the opportunity...Mark.

Good post! Actually, I don't think Rio needs one, but based on the way my gal has been treating me, I could use one.

I think the contests are great, but I enjoy pay ones too. Because:

1. I'm not scared to put up $100 to be in a contest

2. It usually reduces the field and increases my odds

3. No Ghosts

But by all means don't stop with these!

I enjoy them, but as like last year, would rather send Sky a nickel or more to enter last year's $750 Weekly-MLB Contest with it's weekly alternating formats..that was a really fun twist.

Plus last year's MLB format was more along the lines of what Chach implies.

As winky mentions, it allows an interest on games where your money is already lost(I.E. may change tv channels), or a game that one may pass for their pockets.

Rio/Skybook is doing a good job for this forum! Hell being the smallest shop of the 12 banners hanging here, they have to try to generate business somehow!

Clueless maybe but I know for a fact they are the smallest of all the banners hanging here! Maybe if you combine Rio and Skybook then they might equal a few!!!!

My 2 pennies:
From what I read this book is solid and I've heard no complaints.
But for me I don't like free contests.
1.I might not win and then be disappointed and
2.I just won't go there.

Good Luck to all!

These contests are great, especially the $20,000 and Super Bowl consolation prize

Is this a trick question?

No REAL PLAYER gives a shit about these sort of long odds contests.

It is nice for the book to offer...but like Vegas giving comps. This is like a comp to the buffet. Targeting squares who will lose whatever the book gives them and all they ever send in in addition.

Real players will play these just for shits and giggles cause we are on here already.

But the odds are crazy and it would not be worth the time... but.. it is free so it is "worth" the time.

You can bet your ass one thing...

You see the contest changing from time to time. If it ever looks like it will not be profitable... then bet your left nut it will disappear.

Right one too, if you want. They are in the business of doing business!

This JimFiest guy is really a total joke. He is bitter that they banned, him and he is making his bitterness so obvious that it is comical. I saw in another thread that he called the Shrink a fag. Maybe Jim is bitter because he the real Fiest conned the square out of a lot of money. Whatever the scenario may be, he needs to get laid and maybe his attitude will change, lol.

The world would be a whole lot better if everyone

So now you know our player count? Every day you exemplify( sorry to use words you don't understand) more and more how much of a pathetic, ignorant person you really are. Very, very sad IMO. I am sure that after calling the Shrink a fag in another thread that you are on your way out. Good riddance!!

Rioshill you are such a jerk off.

Take a class in good customer service. Yes your site is small compared to the big boys. Suck it up. Insulting potential customers will not help your cause.

I enjoy them very much. Rio is being very generous to offer such contests for FREE. They kept me interested in a couple of games that I didn't have a strong opinion or action on. I don't know where JFS got the idea that I was screwed out of $50. In fact I didn't expect a consolation prize and was unaware that I had won one until I came to the forum a few days later and read you complaining about not receiving one. so I thank you for bringing it to my attention because I was out of town and not reading the forum when Rio posted that I had won a conso prize. Keep up the good work Rio!!
