incredibly, as bad as things have gone the past few weeks, i am still + money for the US hard court season...
my rationale for playing that scrub betteneau was that their last H2H, betteneau won & tsonga for the most part was cruising thru his matches in the tournament. Tsonga has a history of taking mental timeouts during matches that he thinks he can win handily...i was wrong today...
i will be betting against tsonga and some of these other players ranked between 7-12 . Other than nadal, the top players ranked in the top 6 are just head and shoulders better than everyone else. just don't feel their game (the players ranked 7-12) are that much better than some of the players remaining in the field.
feel fortunate to win the pennetta match. bepo was the better player in the match but pennetta fought of 6 match points in the 2nd set. the 12th game of the 2nd set prolly took 1/2 hr to finish, really. anyways, after that 2nd set, bepo had a nuclear meltdown (nothing unusual for her when she is in a tough match) in the third and gave the match to pennetta. would be very wary of putting any $$$ on zvonereva after this match...
JP, good luck with your verdasco play...i haven't researched that match as of yet but agree that verdasco is in good form right now...
