i swore i would never bet against serena in a slam but this is one case where i will bite. nobody expects stosur to win this one and this is where she is most dangerous. stosur excels when there isn't an expectation for her to win. if stosur can serve and volley her way to some quick and easy points, she has a legit shot to upset serena...
zvonereva is a goddess:toast:...ok so i am a little biased in this one but i feel that bepa is in another class than azarenka.

-her first serve percentages have been outstanding this entire tournament and she definitely has played the tougher opponents than kirilenko. if she keeps her winners/errors ratio at around 1, she should win this one....

-just looking at roddick's stats, he is a freakin' machine. he has improved his winners/unforced errors ratio for each match and now faces cilic who has made a TON of unforced errors in his matches. roddick had a winners/unforced errors ratio of 68/17 against gonzalez...absolutely unheard in tennis!...if u think that cilic is better than gonzalez then cilic is your play otherwise back the truck up on ARod...i would make this a 5 unit play in most instances, but with my run here at the AO, i decided against it...
not really big on providing stats and rationale in my plays just because i'm a results oriented kind of a guy. just felt like spewing out stats for some reason tonight...
really torn between murray and nadal. my numbers and head say murray but my heart says nadal. it doesn't help that mayday and JP are on nadal as well...gonna think this one over...

going to restart this posting thread once again with the first real semi-major coming up at indian wells. i've been BRUTAL so far and took the last few weeks off so tread lightly with these...

makarova +170 (peng withdrew from her last 2 tournaments because of appendicitis; standard of therapy for that is an appedectomy which takes 4-6 wks to recover from...)
date krumm +105 (czink not fully recovered from her adductor strain, imho)
bacsinszky +140 (both players are fairly even but i feel timea is a better player on the faster tracks like the one at indian wells).
hoping for a good start tomorrow....
