I wasn't the OP, but I can take an educated guess that the thought process was that some have made an issue out of something that is not really an issue.
Using the Shark example....could my kids go to the beach today and get attacked by a shark? Sure it could happen, but it such a minor thing that we do not discuss being careful about Sharks when they go to the beach, nor does it stop them from going to the beach. So the point is, it happens, but not enough to discuss it. He is saying blacks being killed by cops is EVEN less of an issue...but yet it's all Beyonce and crew want to talk about. I know quite a bit of cops, I have great respect for what they do. A position like this attracts those that need and exhibit their power....

My best friend is black...he is the smartest person I know, good looking solid dude, 6 ft 9..gets attention wherever he goes..well spoken, rich...etc....he laughs because he admits to me "ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL"...he would get the job before me BECAUSE he is black. It is OFFENSIVE to tell me, someone who's parents grew up in the projects, did all they could to better themselves, etc by working, being honest etc and then taught us to be fair to all until they give you a reason not to no matter skin color etc. that I have some type of privlege. I grew up in a town that at the time was 50/50 white and black and is probably about 80 % black now, and those kids and I were all on the same level playing field (not knowing every kids personal situation at home of course) It's OFFENSIVE!
In 2016 white privilege and racism exist where people allow it. Not every white person is receiving "the privilege" just like not every black person is being held back because of racism. Of course both exist and will probably always exist. But actions will get anyone farther than their skin color.

what if the job is basketball? a coach, a bouncer? what if the 6'9 guy has a degree and king just got out of jail? company bought our cars a few years ago from a 7ft black guy at the dealership, who was also the the fleet manager. The real world is much different when you leave the tv and computer screens. I encourage you to experience it.

FYI Vit....I, KINGELEVEN gave my now friend Kel a job 1 week out of prison as I was a sales manager and hired him...took him under my wing, taught him the sales we were doing and he took off, right with me. We formed a friendship but at some point moved on from that job...we explored doing some business deals together but it never happened. he then went on his own and did even more and currently he resides in Miami and the man doesn't work a day anymore, he's rich! We meet up every couple years. I am white. Politically speaking, I am conservative, borderline libertarian, etc....I once gave the 6'9" black guy, straight out of prison for selling drugs a job! As that sales manager, once had a black girl working for me, she was great. She wanted to get her boyfriend, also black a job....he came in for interview with HAT on and a T SHIRT that had the words fuck on it.....I did not hire him. He accused me of being racist towards black males. It's fucking nonsense!
