I used to host an annual Christmas night poker game, before everyone involved moved to various corners of the globe. 11pm Christmas night, shirt and tie required. Carry-on tradition from my grandpa.
For about 5 years running, my brother (3 years my elder) and I got into some kind of a tussle. This was back in my drinking days. One year we ran out of beer about 5am and were drinking Goldschlager on the rocks and I went a little too far. All I remember is I called him Eurofag, as he lived in Europe and had some kind of murse or weird garment or something. Then I made fun of his wife's ethnicity in some manner. He literally jumped ACROSS the poker table and put me in a chokehold.
I don't fight. I'm not strong, I'm usually high, I smoke a pack of reds a day, and I haven't been in a fistfight since 2nd grade. My brother is ripped and trained karate for like 2 decades. He can kick my ass in his sleep.
I really stepped in it that night.
We still get along great. Brothers will be brothers.
