logical reason is too remodel that huge wasted space that is surrounding the sportsbook, its a hike from the casino and rooms. However, since harrahs has no money and no signs of intelligent life, who knows. they certainly are not saving any money laying off 12 low paid sportsbook employees. It is even more of a ghost town down there than ever.

DIDN'T exist in LV. At least in Casinos, it was rare to find one. I remember when I first started going out there, I'd walk in the front door and ask the first employee I saw "where's the sports book"? More times than not they didn't have one. Of course there was Churchill Downs & free standing places like that. But not in the casinos. Fish or Wil, what was that guy's name (Gary something), that fleeced everybody by claiming the place got knocked over? Mid Strip, madhouse for hoops around 4:00 or so when they posted lines. 2 you could always count on were the Castaways & Stardust. Liked the Castaways, must have been the smallest place ever on the strip.

Silver, I will call you tomorrow with my own Gary Austin story. Still owes me some cheese.~~:<< LT

i agree with the poster who claimed their employees were real dicks when processing wagers and I can't recall one time they acted remotely friendly

If the book is struggling and closes, it can help the property look more valuable to a potential buyer

I've always hated Bally's even when it was the MGM Grand. I avoid that place like the plague.
