Lander, if you haven't left yet, go see Monster. Charlize Theron is going to be nominated for Best Actress for her role in this movie based on true story!

Schoenfield's line was a classic, the full quote was actually..."You're crazy, I didn't push you. Get another doughnut, you fat pig." Still makes me laugh today.

To my surprise the Regal decided that $9.50 per ticket just wouldn't cut it in this day of near deflation, so they jobbed me out of another quarter and now charge $9.75.

Well, I got those fukers back ... I order the nacho combo instead of the popcorn and soda which saved myself a healthy $.50 on snacks.

Ha, that'll teach em' to fuk with me.

Anywho, I was fashionably late thanks to the icy conditions, so I missed 'Monster' and it's apparent sucidial after effects. Ended up watching "Cooler" and it was ...

ok, I guess. Not too suspenseful, not overly unrealistic (for most of the movie), and not very interesting, but to it's credit is had a somewhat consistant storyline and was a feel good movie.

I give it a **' (2.5) unit play

Lander, how about you take your $9.50 and buy several boxes of tissue.

Obviously you bet on the two most overrated QB's in the league on Sunday and you got what you deserved. Can you not admit the two better teams won and covered?

I did not bet on either game, so your "obviously" assertion seems to suggest that you're either a) severly out of touch with reality or b) just a little slow.

Either way, you shouldn't assume things that you simple do not know.

For the record - I believe that the Panthers were the better team, so I'm not sure why you even included them in this conversation. As for the Pats - YES they are a heluva team, but if you watch the film you'll see exactly what I'm talking about in that they were constantly riding the Colts recievers 10/15 yards down field.

What is it exactly that concerns yourself with my opinion? After all, I could care less what yours is.

Yep.. they've turned most of the theaters into entertainment complexs with video games and food courts with companies like Burger King, Pizza Hut etc, A trip to the movies here can set you back $50 easily for 2 people.

HTRC,
I believe it.

The best was that instead of having the normal preview trailors they had a stunt man talking about how he risks his life for the movies and that piracy is trivializing his life (or some other bs that was equally repulsive).

Did they ever stop to think that maybe if they didn't try to screw us out of every last nickel that we wouldn't screw them back? Seriously, I'd go the movies all the time if it was a decent price ... granted I went to the 10:00 show on a Sunday night, but still there was not even a dozen people in that theater.

Same thing with the music industry. These clowns are crying to deaf ears.

Damn Angelle.. I wish it was only 4 bucks here.

Lander.. my girlfriend loves the movies, I told her that if they could somehow figure out how to put the ESPN Bottom Line ticker on the screen that I would go whenever she wanted. I could just see myself during a heartbreaking part of the movie yelling "Yeah baby TD Carolina!" now that is entertainment.

Dr. PlaysContestOnly could probably hook you up with a sign up bonus sports pager somewhere for that - this guy has more pagers than the South Bronx

$9.50 for a movie? I actually have to take people with me when I go out so I see $9.50 as a bargain...

lol..

speaking of childish!

and Vanilla Sky sucked! And yes I understood the entire Movie. The fact is the movie should have started with the ending thus making it much more interesting. Lucid Dream, no shit!

The only thing that movie had me thinking about was hearing Cameron Diaz say, "but, I swallowed your cum." again. What a shitty movie! I thought alot during the movie.. I thought about when it was going to end and why I had the awful luck of having to pay over 20bucks to watch that disaster of a flick...
