Sweet. Where at? If it's in between Lake County and Downers Grove, I'll be by at around 9, and then again at 4. ; )

I agree though, teams that NEED to win, have that need for a reason, usually because they aren't that good. Philly's last 4 games, pretty poor. Detroit is still Detroit though. But I think all things being equal, public likes to side with Detroit/Dallas on Turkey Day. We shall see.

:smoking:

Near O'hare at my parents place. This is the first year we aren't splitting time between my folks and inlaws--thank god. Dinner is at 3 and i plan to start drinking by kickoff of the first game. Edibles at halftime.

Everybody loves the Lions on Thanksgiving, but I think that's based off one or two weeks from the 90's when fatso Fontz was running Barry Sanders to the ground. I think recently they've been better since Megatron has been on the team, but Detroit is never a thanksgiving lock in my opinon. In fact.....

2000 Detroit Lions 34 New England Patriots 9 W
2001 Green Bay Packers 29 Detroit Lions 27 L
2002 New England Patriots 20 Detroit Lions 12 L
2003 Detroit Lions 22 Green Bay Packers 14 W
2004 Indianapolis Colts 41 Detroit Lions 9 L
2005 Atlanta Falcons 27 Detroit Lions 7 L
2006 Miami Dolphins 27 Detroit Lions 10 L
2007 Green Bay Packers 37 Detroit Lions 26 L
2008 Tennesseee Titans 47 Detroit Lions 10 L
2009 Green Bay Packers 34 Detroit Lions 12 L
2010 New England Patriots 45 Detroit Lions 24 L
2011 Green Bay Packers 27 Detroit Lions 15 L
2012 Houston Texans 34 Detroit Lions 31 L (OT)
2013 Detroit Lions 40 Green Bay Packers 10 W
2014 Detroit Lions 34 Chicago Bears 17 W

That 2004 game was my first biggest bet of my life. Manning in his prime and I put my entire bankroll of about 1500 or so on the Colts and I remember everyone here saying "be careful, there's something magical about Detroit on Thanksgiving"..

He has to stop throwing interceptions his biggest problem he can't read defenses.

Detroit coming off two wins against GB and Oak -- both which killed the public -- now has people thinking maybe it they aren't the disaster they seemed to be and maybe they are closer to last year's team. But Philly at +3 seems like it might be a great "buy low" on the Eagles. I am probably gonna take PHI +3 (-120). Looking at a total.

I just took the Eagles +3.

i think chonce is right. 2 good wins for Detroit has everyone thinking they are World beaters. I think Detroit goes back to being Detroit today.

30-13 Eagles
