Maybe Alex Smith being better with Success Rate disqualifies those metrics from being relevant?

That is how I'd probably choose to look at that.

The Colts have no running game and no OL for much of the year. Of course if you isolate Andrew Luck's performance vs other QBs in better situations then some of the data is going to side favorably with them.

if you dont use/value number fires metrics, you are missing out....

I value many newer metrics to a point but each one taken individually isn't going to tell you the whole story. When you start to combine them collectively you can get a pretty good idea of who is good....A lot more to factor in. Like being the most hit QB in the NFL and having no running game. Like accounting for almost 3 TDs a game on average

My friend used to write for NF though...He is the dude who wouldn't shutup about how good Trent Richardson was.
