Look I don't really like Joe or his schtick, and I think his in-game management (specifically with regard to the pitching staff) is pretty atrocious.
They won the WS in 16 despite him trying to fuck it up at basically every turn.
But at the end of the day players have to play.
The reason the Cubs haven't turned into the powerhouse we all (fans) hoped they could is because the talent hasn't really panned out. Not because of Joe.
For everything he fucks up in-game I do have to credit him for helping create a winning culture in the clubhouse.
